Any word on tv coverage.
The rights are still Pats' to sell at this stage (?) so should be able to get a bidding war going. They all risk being accused of neglecting the league in favour of foreign teams if they don't show it.
tv3/setanta would want to show it in case Pat's lose, and rte would want to get it in case they win.
Lets hope Pats great result in Russia will see a big crowd in Inchicore Tuesday night when the double winners and league leaders go to Richmond Park
I'm pretty sure RTE will cover it, but I hope and pray it clashes with Celtic-Arsenal.
Unfortunatley I think I'd be safe enough to offer to run round the brandy stark ****** nekid if that were to happen.
But what I was getting at is we have ammunition against the tv stations if they don't show this. rte, because well they're rte. And tv3/setanta because they have the irish rights to the competition from the group stages on, and would in effect stand to gain if pat's go out.
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but someone on the CCFC forum mentioned that it might be the case that Steaua's home game be played at Excelsior Rotterdam's stadium?
Is this total ****** or is there some truth in it?
Why do they sterilize the needles for lethal injections?
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?
If you're cross-eyed and have dyslexia, can you read all right?
This has to be one of the best years for the L.O.I. in Europe, especially as we didn't expect the success Pats have had.
But this also has to be the worst draws for travelling to games and with only a few days or a week to plan the trips it really has been a feck up for fans.
I was lucky enough to get to Riga but it was the most expensive Euro trip I've been on and with the **** draw Sligo had along with Pats Russian trip and our couple of days notice to book for Sofia we've not exactly had the nicest of draws travel wise.
Now comes the news that Pat's game is behind closed doors which is a joke for those hoping to travel!
Here's hoping that next season the draw will be kinder for our clubs and our fans.
BTW A brilliant result for Pat's and the L.O.I. in general.
So if you think Bohs are big read this. http://www.astronomy.ie/perpespective.html
have been offline a lot lately - so i just want to say well done to Pats and Derry for their performances in Europe this year. Done the league proud. Despite the crap and negativity that surrounds the domestic game, its performances like these and Bohs going close against RBS that give me hope for the future.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Brilliant stuff Pats. I was keeping in touch with the game but when they went 3-0 down i left it. Came back later that night to check the news and i actually couldn't believe my eyes. I was actually celebrating! Brilliant for the league. I'll be at the Steau game like i was at the Hertha game last year, cheering on the league.
Our floodlights are designed to host European matches. There's enormous power in those bulbs, and can blind you in 2 seconds flat.Originally Posted by dcfcsteve
