Dispiriting, but hardly surprising. TBH Pat's were up against a superior team, 1-1 was about par for the course.

They might have said the same about a team from Ireland.

Maltese football has made reasonably big strides, and St. Pat's are a poor Premier Division side. I'd say they were about level pegging, at best.

Pats have been poor this season but still would have at least expected them to win the home leg.

On the strength of what I've seen this season I wouldn't expect them to beat anyone (in Ireland, much less in Europe.)
