God NCW have had a tough path to the final. Would it be anything to do with the fact that Antony Reidy draws the numbers out of the pot at the meetings.....

I have to agree with your assessment of the game. Thats probably about right. If Carrig had gotten one of them pens before Newcastle scored it could have been interesting. Not the strongest of Newcastle teams i have seen. Badly missing the good players that left them last summer.

Well it had to happen sometime, look at some of the players Rathkeale lost to town over the years?

Wouldn't say that's too fair. Didn't they have Broadford in Round 1. Hey Sky Blue im amazed that ye are going to play NCW this week. Thought ye would have it sorted out for the last game of the season when the league is over. Ye usually have the fixtures to yer benefit. Sunday will tell alot.

I didnt say they had none of their good players left, 'Have it' said they are badly missing their good players that left in the summer, and I was just stating that it has happened to other clubs too in the past. They still have good players at the club.
Most of the top players in the desmond league (if not all) go to town sooner or later, it just happened to Rathkeale first

Well in fairness they did work it out that all their players were suspended for their Kilcolman match and not any Premier Division match

Ya id agree with you so. Good players gone but i went to see their youth team playing the cup final last week and what real talent they have. Quilligan and Quaid were in the middle of midfield and im not messing it was like xavi and iniesta. They were superb playing the ball around the field. Young Shanahan up front has serious potential hopefully someone may give him a real chance.

Does there seem to be a pattern unfolding when it comes to rathkeale.

This weekend will tell alot alright, I cant see Rathkeale getting any kind of result off NCW, I cant see Rathkeale getting 3 wins from Broadford and Abbeyfeale matches, they might get 2 out of 3, and I can see NCW winning all their remaining matches, thus NCW champions come June and Abbey for Desmond Cup if they get the finger out

Draw against Newcastle wouldn't be a bad result at all. I'd back Rathkeale to take the league this season. Granted they have tough games left but they have shown good consistency and resilience this year.
