you could be right. Ndo could be making more than that but there were rumours at the time of performance related bonuses being a big part of his contract. Im not saying thats gospel but its what im led to believe.

On reading that further i should have said originally that at that time we had an agreement with other clubs (Cork, Derry??) not to pay more than e1000 per week to players.

Either way, its a small part of a larger post and i dont want to get sidetracked on this issue. Either way, notwithstanding the point of my original post, he's still making too much money.

Educate me please - I really would love to know how the "Bohs situation" is anything other then complete and utter mismanagement and recklessness.

What kind of muppets have we got running our club?

Well it seems someone who can't do maths for a start! We took the gamble of trying to break Europe to clear our debts. I'm sorry thats a stupid idea. It's like saying 'I'm in massive debt to my bank i.e car loans, mortgage ect. and I'm struggling to pay them. Wait I've an idea to pay of some of the money. I'll keep spending and hope I can win the lotto. If I keep buying tickets I'll surely win'. this is why I stopped been a member. The boards and some fans aggorance towards all of this really boils my pi$$!

I hope and pray that next season we still have a club to support.

SunderlandBohs, I genuinely salute you for being brave enough to post your views here, and risk the inevitable vitirol that will follow from other Bohs fans.

If sufficient other members were brave enough to stand up and be counted during the period when this megalomania was being hatched, this proud old club would not be facing the current abyss.

The arrogance, denial, and delusions of many fans and certainly some of current board does nothing for the club, and certainly alientates many who would otherwise have a lot of empathy for the clubs plight.

Q: Where has all the protest gone?
    A: It's on the internet.

If you and just a few others in your position hadn't stopped being members and had voted at the AGM you could have helped change the board much more substantially than has been achieved.

As it is, a large part of the new board is from the reform group and is promoting a progressive agenda to get the club back on a rational footing. Damning them all isn't going to help.

Promoting a progressive agenda all sounds fine and dandy, but what action are they taking?

Is there any reduction in wage costs being implemented?

The cases of Carey and Madden indicate that there is not

I'd love to see this sort of action taken against those that ran some LOI clubs in the very recent past.

    I know I shouldn't but here goes...

Are you for real? There has been a reduction in players wages already when they agreed to take a percentage cut in their pay packet. Bohs have already been in the news stating that if somebody wants to come in to buy our players that we would not stand in their way. Madden is already on our pay roll so getting him back only strengthens numbers in our small squad. Carey will sign on loan if allowed to by the FAI, by all accounts Celtic pay the boys wages. All players are under contract and to cut contracts short leaves us in the position of having to pay out huge amounts of money that would be owed under the terms of the contracts the players have signed with the club.

What would you suggest? Let the players contracts run out and get value from same players by playing games for the club, or let them go, pay off their contracts anyway and be left with no players??

We have voted in a new board who have spent inordinate amounts of time unravelling the twisted mess that has become Bohs accounts over the last 10 years and getting some sort of understanding where we ACTUALLY stand.

You seem to suggest that Bohs supporters are living in some Shels like bubble when it comes to our club. If you bothered to visit our MB and spend some time reading posts going back YEARS, you would see that the vast majority of Bohs supporters are incredibly concerned at the state of our club off the field of play.

Your ridiculous crusade of finger pointing and shock and awe is actually aimed towards nothing. You are coming across like an idiot.

The reduction agreed by the players was pre-season and was overtly to facilitate the signing of additional players. These additions to the wage bill were clearly likely to push the club over the 65% limit. This is precisely why accusations of cheating are levelled at Bohemians

Of course it is possible, but not very credible, that Celtic are prepared to pay Careys wages, and that Bohs were paying Maddens wages while at Shels. Clearly, whatever the facts are, the Bohs wage bill will not be reduced by these two transactions.

Not quite! The Evening Herald reported Pat Fenlon as saying that "players won't be leaving to go to clubs in this country" and "If players have to go outside the country and we don't get the fees we demand, that's something we've got to look at"

I accept the point, with some reservations - no doubt many of the new board are responsible and diligent people; Gerry Conway is a pivital link between both boards, and his recent utterings following the fans forum do not indicate any new found awareness.

But the real point here is that intent is one thing - action is another.

Unfortunately, for many Bohs fans, the emergence from this "bubble" is a recent phenomenon. I have visited the Bohs forum and until recently it was very hard to find many dissenting voices among the din of "we are invincible"

I'm surprised no-ome else has raised this.

Wouldn't such an above agreement be against EU law - effectively a cartel to suppress wages in a certain sector within Ireland ?
