    Red Dwarf

Did anybody else watch Red Dwarf back in the day?
Got to say it is sheer class, never lets down, never gets old.
I'm really looking foward to the movie (production starts in May), and talk of a series IX afterwards is good news
Collecting the DVDs at the moment

Ya I;m collecting the dvds too, season 3 is the best so far, although nothing can compare to season 8, krytie TV being the best episode in the history of the show.

    Genius, complete and utter.
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

I read the book years ago, and looked out for the TV series ever since. It's a real classic, in the proud BBC tradition of looking **** because of a budget that wouldn't buy a few loaves and fish, but it not mattering because of great script-writing and good acting.

Read the book and started watching it when it first came out (and feel very old now), but then kinda went of it a bit cos of all the sad nerds walking around in the T-Shirts giving it a bad name.... Getting back into it these days mind you...

    Series VIII rocks yeah
The return of Kochanski was brilliant and Lister becoming pregnat was classic-one of the best ever ending lines,
    "Good news Listy"
    "What?"
"I'm going to be an uncle!"

Sheer genius, hope the movie lives up to it, I'm sure it will,
    all together now,

Ye's are all headcases. Red Dwarf is pure pish!! The acting is atrocious and the sets, props are so amateurish. Was it made on a budget of 10p?
    A very poor show.

if ya leave aside all the sci fi stuff it was an ingenious comedy and chris barrie's rimmer was as funny a comedy creation as Ricky Gervais's Brent if you ask me

the sets have f all to do with it

it was a comedy not a star trek new generation show

Probably. Given 10p, how good a show could you make?

Red Dwarf is pish, My petition is pointless-I'm begining to think ya got something against me Brendy

It was a loaves and fishes job-tiny budget, amazing show, and to be perfectly honest you don't get to old camera man in the background or the reflection like in many multi-million Euro movies

Haven't got series III yet-shops round here stock sod all, though IV is out on the net now, whey!

    Red Dwarf-great Craic

You're going to have to find out for yourselves next season aren't you?! We got relegated deliberately to avoid their one-year stint in the Premier!

Back on topic, though - what was the name of the big hairy creature Lister married whose language only Kryton could speak and sounded like someone choking horribly? Want to use it in the fanzine and it's annoying me what the name is.
