i agree with you there, think glenview will be fairly strong, heard they have signed some good players. what did the polish guy do to get a 5 match suspension?

i think newport will take that league, their a strong quick team who can play abit when let. corbally c are another to watch, but few of them are fond of the sauce. will be keeping a eye on moyross to see how they fair out. dont think glenview will do any damage,

newport are strong alright. bit of a yo-yo team though, up and down the divisions a good bit. moyross will in the league i'd say, not many teams will get a result over there and they have the best players in the league, many of them too good for 2B

1-0 at half time, I'd say we shaded it. Regional keeper went off injured and they put their centre forward in goal for the second half. We scored 2 easy goals against him early on and they lost all shape. We could have won by more in the end. Had they not lost the keeper it would have been a much closer game.

Mungret were missing a few players that were away with gaelic and other commitments, although they cannnot use that as an excuse fair play to Moyross thats a great start to the season for them. Any other results from the league?

    Regional 1 - 3 Newport

Understrength regional side were unlucky as they let in 2 sloppy enough goals. Newport look a decent outfit with one or two good attacking players. Regional will be handy if they get a full strength squad and all there youngsters involved.

    Mungret 4 - 1 Geraldines

Moyross very good across the midfield and up front. I couldn't say how good they are at the back as we hardly got at them at all, one shot on target in the entire game. We were lucky to get away with just conceding 4, Moyross missed some great chances and could have ran up a really embarrassing score to be honest. Hopefully they are as good as we'll come across this season.

Regional to still have no points by the end of the year...thats my revised prediction...Shocking outfit!! They need a serious injection of talent!

    Geraldine 1 - 2 Hyde

Coasted the first half, goals from Paddy Phelan and a screamer from Davie Nash. Geraldines bossed the second half, we did well to hang on for the win.

    Southend 5 - 1 Regional B

Regional only had 8 players for the whole game. Tried to get the game called off few days before hand but were not able to. There was one or two poor enough players up in southill tonight fairball, so i think your right there. When they get their proper starting 11 out in the coming months I think they will start to pick up points!

    Abbey Rvrs 1 - 2 Mungret Regional B
