Wembley were 2-1 up with 15mins to go. I left at that point so I can only imagine Pike equalised and Wembley missed a penalty? Pike were missing a few but a decent team non the less.

Wembley would have gone down, after their draw, even if Corbally lost so its immaterial what team Fairview had out for a finish

fairview did put out dere b team but corbally started with 2 b 3c and 1 minor and the bench was 2 minors 1 ateam and 1 cteam so i think it was a great result for corbally

fairview had no a team players last night but from what i saw they had 5 minors playing and the rest B players, open to correction though!!

Corbally were understrength as well but it was an entertaining game, both sides did their best to play decent football, well done to the Corbally lads for sticking at it since Xmas and doing what was required to stay up, after the results last night i think they finish 7th!

agree entirely,a long tough season and unfortunately teams get relegated.

Maybe if other premier teams put out their strongest teams at the end of the season the bottom of the table would look different now.

i don't think anyone would dispute that, but all you can do is beat what is put out in front of you and corbally kilmallock and carew did that so they deserve credit for that, as for weakened teams thats obviously down to players attitude and there respective clubs of course for letting them away with it

In fairness lads, this happens the world over and not just in Junior soccer. You only have to look at Fulham for a prime example. They were in the Europa Cup, nothing to play for in the League, handing points to teams in the relegation zone - , almost impossible to motivate lads to compete 100% when there's nothing riding on it. The likes of Corbally etc were primed for all there games, and faced some teams, not all, that didn;t really have much to play for. As for Wembley, don't think the eratic layout of fixtures did them any favours. Too many weeks without matches makes it very hard to keep a thing going. Good luck to them next year and to the teams that stayed up.

In fairness i think that the three teams who escaped relegation deserved to stay up, wembley were unlucky yes, But fair play to kilmallock, corbally and carew.

Agree, happens every year, it happened summerville 2 yrs ago when granville picked up somethin like 15 points in the last 6 league fixtures, they were beating the likes of regional, balla and fairview when the top end of the league had become irrelevent, it was a bitter feeling at the time, im sure wembley will be feelin pretty sick about it after havin a pretty solid 2 seasons in premier.
