    IE8

anyone here install IE8 on their PC/laptop?

it has slowed my laptop right down when surfing the net - not so much in loading a webpage but more like when i drop down the address bar it freezes occasionally for a while. Pretty annoying. And gmail has not been loading/displaying properly since i installed it. Though if i click refresh it seems to fix it.

I also dont like that it brings up your history and favourites when you drop down the address bar.

Nothing major, just annoying little things.

Anyone else having problems? Should i revert to IE7?
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Firefox is nearly as bad these days, Google Chrome is the new Firefox.

There are some security concerns over Chrome, though not the kind of thing the average punter bats an eyelid at if it's shiny and fast.

Google Chrome is shiny and fast. But it has no adblocker. Seriously, who browses the web without adblock any more? And flashblock?

Firefox, Opera, Chrome and numerous lesser known browsers (there are a bunch based on Firefox's Gecko engine) are worth a go as an alternative to IE.

Firefox has caused several hangs on my laptop. Most annoying though is IGoogle on IE7 which has slowed it right down ...
