As it is clear to see you only popped up on this site at the start of last season yourself so dont go giving me your high and mighty rubbish. We are all entitled to our opinion on this site and if we were all to agree on everything their wouldnt be much point on being on here.
You seem to be brushing off that cashel could mount a genuine challenge in the next 2 seasons which is madness as Clonmel Town are prob going to be rebuilding over the next season or two and Peake seem to be in freefall again according to quotes on this site So the league is wide open for anyone to win it this year.
Brushing off Cashel? Far from it....think they have a pretty good chance if all the rumours about signings etc are true. Perhaps I only appeared last year, but my point is you support a team that just got promoted to the top tier of TSDL and have the arrogance to look down your nose at a club as successful as Nenagh Celtic. Perhaps its not arrogance...maybe you just know nothing about football. Now get back on your bandwagon...

Nice to see someone use the Avatar i put up. This is my first post this season it will be good to compare views.
Just steady on there with the Scullys and Burns joining Saints i know you are talking hypothetically (Big Word) but i think the jersey would burn off their backs, a bit like vampires and crosses!
I was at the training session last night couple of new faces there. You will get used to being slagged off here some bitter people but most are genuine. Its nice to see another Saints man on the thread or are you a spy?? l love a bit of mystery i do!

sorry but i think your a bit mistaken.ive been in this club probably before you were born.ive seen the good days the great days and the not so good days.im a proud tipp town man,and always have.i played alongside some of the best players at st micheals.old hawk, gracey, ghost hogan, the victim hogan and the cremins..as you said there is some bitter bitter people, jealousy is what it is i think.leave them off,we always have the last laugh..ya i heard about some new faces were up there.plenty of youth in the side which is brilliant for the club.come on the saints

Haha, well said! I think it is the ususal arrogance that we see from a lot of newly promoted teams who think that just because they coasted through the mediocre lower divisions think they can do the same in the Premier! Remeber what happened to Cashel last time they were in the Premier?? Granted its a different group of players now but they should have learned their lesson be glad of the underdog tag. As regards how the league table will finish this year year you can forget about Cashel being in the top 5 even.....
    I believe it will finish:
    Town
    Saints
    Celtic
    Peake
    Rock Rovers
    Cahir
    Cashel
    Old Bridge
    Borris

agree with previous post about clubs coasting up through the divisions and then struggling at premier level. even to look back at last few clubs who went up rosegreen folded and galballly almost did the year before after going up. both had strong teams on paper like cashel talk about now but found out the hard way what it takes to stay up. although i do feel cashel will stay up i think they are getting abit ahead of themselves saying they will be competing for title.there attacking players bar david slattery can all be easily marked even in lower divisions so premier defenders haven t much to worry about.as many goals as they have scored over past few seasons aint gonna happen this year as you need tony scully, barnes, dwayne byrnes type players to do it at premier level and cashel lads are not up to that level yet. i think 4th spot is realistic aim for this year then push on from there year after. also the slating of the saints is very disrespectful from cashel , all the crap about local lads on the team, where were all these players when cashel was on its knees 3 or 4 years ago after getting relegated ( enjoying there football out in rosegreen, saints b team, gooldscross etc).there is added needle with saints now which i think could come back to haunt them as there will now be a bit of spice to both games. cashel are not gonna be a surprise packet this year as most clubs are fully aware of there potential so will not take them lightly so points could be hard come by. the important thing i feel for cashel is get say 10 points from first 8 games which as we all know will prob be played by september then they should be ok. believe me i would love to see cashel become a major force in tsdl and break the big 2s dominance but its one step at a time lads
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!

The main problem I have, is that while the odd few of these players, James, Paul, Kelvin etc, go on to bigger and better things.. and fair play to them, I know and wish them well.. a large number of youngsters don't make it, and when they finish playing youth football, aren't big or strong enough to make Michael's first team.

Because they have left their own clubs, they then find it difficult to come back, thereby dropping out of football altogether. That's my problem. It is then compounded by Michael's straight out telling lies to kids parents about getting the youngsters trials at places like Celtic. If you want to know more about that, contact last years Kennedy Cup coach, and he should be able to make you aware of what we're talking about here in Cashel.

Three under 14's??? That's not right, simple as that.
Maybe I'm wrong but I'm sure Kelvin played youths for Cashel and he wasn't under 15 when he did so....don't think Michaels can be accused of signing him as an under 15....

All the talk seems to be about Cashel and Saints signings. last years top two are very quiet on the transfer front. Apart from the rumours here regarding Michael Coady, Rory Kiely and David Mcgrath leaving Town, there has been nothing about them signing any players. In addition, Peake seem to be very quiet on the transfer front. According to sources here Barry Ryan has left but usually there are rumours that half their squad is leaving. Personally think it will be Town, Villa and Saints fighting it out, and the three of them going far in the cups if they don't knock each other out

all the talk at this time of the season counts for nothing, when theeason kicks off thats when we will see who plays where,my money is on the same squads for all the top 3 and the top 3 will end up the top 3 again

Well said hooper..I don't completely agree that the top three will have entirely the same squads but I would agree that they will end up the finishing as the top three in the league, irrespective of the final order,as they have proven to do so over the seasons. Proved to be a good tight battling season last year with numerous twists and turns..here's hoping for something similar for the coming season
6 Leagues in a row...can we have another F.A.I. now please?

was up at villa at the weekend and would like to know where their players have gone?? i was told they were at full strength but where was o connor, graham, ryan from roscrea, barry ryan, maher, foggy??? nowhere to be seen 3 weeks before the season. worst of all they have no goalkeeper, with outfield players takin turns between the sticks

Ron - look back on the posts from earlier.Barry Ryan gone to Pike Rovers in Limerick, and thought you said earlier that O'Connor had gone to Town?

Have Cahir Park made any signings? very lucky to stay up last year and won't want to be relegated in their centenary year. They really need to strengthen or will go down

i agree,i cant see anyone breaking into the top 3,its very hard to do it.its a bit like man u,liverpool and chelsea.its similar in many ways,i think apart from the top 3.teams will be battling it out for 4th place.thats my view on it.

cahir have got new player manager down from cork. not certain but think he came from leeside who wom munster junior a few years ago and also has an oscar traynor medal with cork aul from last year so must be handy enough player anyway. cahir i think will be alright they can pull decent players from there youth and b teams if the need may be unlike some of the other premier clubs who dont have this luxury. in benny ryan in my opinion they have one of best players in tsdl and if they could get robbie costigan back coupled with a few other signings they would be as good as cashel or clonmel celtic next season
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!

    For me it will be
    Villa
    Saints
    Town
    Cashel
    Celtic
    Cahir
    Borris
    Rock
    Bridge

I have to agree with hooper it will prob be the same faces at each club come the start of the season. We have the same talk every year about this lad and that lad going here and their but most of the time its just pie in the sky.

I see Paddy Powers have released odds on the Fai Junior for this season
Town @ 20-1 Saints @28-1 and Nenagh FC @33-1 They were the only tipp teams to make it into the top 100. Some very short odds on teams for such a early stage in the season.
