I cant see their being much oppertuinity for warm up games, the Fai is on this weekend, the Mjc again the week after ,an then the game away to Kerry the following week. The players selected will have to hit the ground running big time..........
Seen Knockavilla in action a few times last year - they seemed like a well drilled side - isnt he a FIFA B licenced coach? can't be a bad thing - to be honest i think there should be some sort of system in place where managers could recommend players to him!

Hey Timmypav what do u reckon of super fixture setup where we have to play ye again next Saturday? 3rd game of the season and we play each other twice.
Was in the city last Saturday so i took the spin out to Little Island to watch the Leeside and Wilton game.
Missed most of the first half but from what i seen in the second half was 2 good teams who wanted to play ball.
Leeside could have had 6 or 7 in the second half.
Some outstanding players with them.Gettings,Delea and the two lads in the centre midfield Coley? and Joe? i think. These lads are a joy to watch.
Wilton didnt perform at their best.I seen them twice last year and they were very good.Didnt seem as strong this season.
Nice piece on corkaul.com about Niall O Reagan - good to see Greg O halloran involved - does anyone know what the squad is or isnt it being released??
Any info Ickleman??

With the time he has left to prepare he wont have much chance to experiment, so form at the minute and advice from who ever he trusts will play a major part in the selection of the squad.Either way best of luck to him an the team an all we as clubs can do is back him up.
Oliachio,,,,,,,,,some info is ok to pass out, other info is best left to the person in charge, in this case the Aul manager.![]()

Hey Lads,
New to this, so take it easy on me.
Im with leeds Premier A side. I have been involved in Cork Aul soccer since 1997.
Thats all for now.
Thanks
blue and red ., just looking at the fixtures for next week and see yee have a top of table clash with kanturk.should be some game, are ya confident.
Hey Lads,
Thanks for the welcome, Im managing leeds premier a side.
As most of ye know, the 1A side(technically The premier side pull out) pull out. most of my squad is from 1A side and rest is made up from the premier side.
Pre-season was good, as we were gearing towards 1A, so the jumping for League 2B to premier A has thrown us in to a whole new ball game.
In our first game vs greenmount we drew 1-1 and i thaught my lads were unlucky not to get a win.
Then we went to ballyvolane park on saturday evening to play ballyvolane. we were a little under strength, but i must say ballyvolane looked a good outfit. they were well organised and their fitness in the last 20 mins killed us off.
we lost 5-0.
This week we r away to midleton junior (msl) in the fai, anybody have any info on them.
Thanks
Not much info but seen them play a few times. They are sticky and will work hard but not a great footballing side. A good organised team should beat them. They do not seem to have any stand out players. Its not much help but it might give ya insight into what type of team they are![]()
welcome again guvnor, ya i'd say playing ballyvolane last week was a big step up for your lads from 1a to be fair, i'm sure they will get used to the premier a soon enough though. hope your good friend blue and red didn't give ya too much of a slagging about the result.
Ya thats true Timmypav. We wont be playing on the main pitch on Saturday, instead we will be playing on our second pitch. Its not a bad pitch. It will be only our 5th or 6th game on it.
Take a look at the main pitch at the bottom on Saturday Timmy - it looks even better than the cross.Really dont know why the club wont let us use it.
Anyway best of luck Saturday and if the first game is anything to go by,this one will be another cracker.
Ya shetland,we're expecting our biggest test so far this season,We know all about Kanturk and how good they can be.We've been up against 'em goin' back a few years.Pearse gave them a good rattle last week by all accounts before losing 4-2
Our squad are training hard and looking forward to it.
I'll be missing myself due to other family commitments but im sure i'll be getting minute by minute reports from our Club Groundsman Mick Lynam who also goes to all the games.
Fingers crossed for a 4th win here.
