More importantly the Cork Aul have been drawn away to the TSDL in the OSCAR TRAYNOR, please God leave our luck last a bit longer,,,,,,,,,,,,
i think team selection will be more important than luck wee man the players are out there
on a local note i am looking forward to see how your new look side performs second half of the season again i think the players are there its up to the management team to get them playing?
us norries need to be competing again in auls premier division cos i see ye as having the best chance to challenge leeside and kinsale

    Bohemians 4 vs 1 Richmond

Good win for us and into the Quarter final of this cup.

We started very well and controlled the game for alot of the first half, we went in at the break 2-0 up and added 3rd 10mins into 2nd half and made it 4 soon after. They then got a penalty which our keeper was very unlucky not to save.

Job well done on our behalf and its onwards and upwards or Bohs

happy with the result !! Greenwood are much better than their league position suggests . All our 3 forwards scored ! Thought the ref did well today

    Munster Junior Cup (Second RD)

    Casement Celtic 1 Leeds 8

Started the game well, considering our lack of match practise. We hit the ground running. 4 up at half-time. Casement pulled one back from a good free kick. but we added 2 more in quick succession. Then Killed the game off with two more. Dean Buckley and Gary Nolan both enjoyed getting hat-trick.

Great Team Performance, Waterloo next and hoping to enjoy a good run in the MJC

    A.U.L. 2A - Result

    Killowen 0 Coachford (B) 0.

Defences on top at Killowen, although Coachford will be regretting a bad miss early in the 2nd half when failing to hit the target in a one on one situation with the Killowen 'keeper. Always tight games between these sides over the years. Killowen can take a positive from the game in that was our 1st clean sheet in ages.

    Premier Result

    Park Utd. 3-1 Coachford.
Played this game in their third pitch (id say). Bit of a hill and the fog was unreal. Thought I was in O Neill Park for a bit.
By the look of the results today strikers were on form around the county..
    Not ours Im afraid.
On a better day we could have been at least 2 up after 10mins but with wayward shooting and slipping at the wrong time it just wasn't to be. Park had one clear cut chance in the 1st half and took it expertly. They led 1nil at half time and made it 2 with a spotter. We got one back but never seriously looked like getting an equaliser. They wrapped it up close to the end on the break.
That means 2 defeats by Park this year, their a physical, honest team and they will cause a lot of teams trouble this year. Hope we dont see them again this season.
Bad result today but good to be back after the Big Freeze.

    Kinsale 2 - Blarney St

Football can be such a cruel game sometimes...one nil down with 8 mins to go we nicked an equaliser from gary Coughlan who never gave up on a long ball and managed to come out best in a scramble with the keeper to roll the ball into the net... Keeper was complaning the ball was kicked out of his hands but it was one of those ones that you see given one week and not the next.... was totally happy with the point at this stage and thought we were good for it but then we were hit with the ultimate sucker punch in injury time.... a fairly harmless ball up to the edge of our box and some how derek macarthy managed to create a bit of space and drilled a great shot in to the bottom corner... class strike from macarthy who was really well contained by john betts previous to this... so a huge kick in the ****s for us but nothing in it really...was very happy with the performance overall we showed a lot of character to bring it back level and we can feel hard done by not to get something out of it... have to bounce back next week... as for kinsale the good run continues and you could see how much this meant to them the way the celebrated.... physically very strong and will be very hard to beat especially down there... points on the board are everything and they are definetly the team to beat now

i looked at the league tables durin the week.If Glenthorn beat us an Blarney St got anythin at all then we could have gone from 3 to 6 an be well out of it.An considering we are the only side to be 1st,2nd or 3rd all season today was a big game.

    Macroom 3-4 Killumey Utd (MJcup)

On my travels this morning, we were served up a cracker.
Killumney led 3nil after 47mins, Macroom scored the next 3 and Killumney scored the winner from the penalty spot.
    Great entertainment for all.

    Help

I cant see the results on the AUL webpage. Writing gone small as is known to happen. Anyone have a cure?

Oli, One more Boyzone comment and the club may have to introduce a foot.ie suspension for ya!!

Thats the sign of a top striker, half a sniff of goal and produces the goal when needed.

    What was yer result Littleman?

    What will TSDL be like?
If you wanna play hot players, then Monard is defo worth a look. I would go as far as to say 5 of our guys are flying at the mo.

Well done Springers - is that Rd of 64 or 32 next?

    Bella,

Is that the Springfield side that compete in A.U.L. 2A? If so they are a decent side and well coached. Played them earlier in the season at our place and in my opinion the best side we have faced so far in the league.
Best of luck in the next round.

    Greenmount 2 Ballyvolane 1

Bitterly dissapointed to say the least. We had several chances once again but we just dont seem to have the rub of the green. The greenmount keeper had a good game and was also helped twice by the crossbar !!!! Dermot our keeper also made a great save from a penalty in the second half so it could have been worse. I have no doubt Greenmount will take points off other teams out there.
The only positive side is that we are creating good chances and are playing good football. im sure its only a matter of time before the goals come. Injuries to 3 key players didnt help our cause either as a few guy were playing out of position.
The referee had a good game despite in my opinion giving a a dubious peno !!

    Leeside A 4-0 Pearse
    Leeside B - Douglas Hall ( called off )
    Hibernian 1-4 Leeside C

First team had good win today in FAI after disappointing result last week, was not at game today but heard could of been a good few more, also made a few changes today i think derek delea and coleman cody on bench also centre half out injured. Littleman seen ya heading in gate when i was heading off so you might post a report for us.

B team game on saturday was called off before kick off. ref was not happy with small area in centre of pitch which was soft and v mucky. Saftey was his reason for calling it off. Douglas Hall also thought it was to dangerous, myself i did not think so!!
Quick Question for people, before away game do ye go out and pace the 18 yard boxs?
was done in this case yesterday!!!!

C team have made it 2 in a row now. New year, new team!!! Great performance here v hibernian. 1-0 down with twenty to go and scored 4, to be honest goal was against run of play and should have had 4 or 5 before we scored the goals in last twenty.

well done bella on that win, great result. Didn know eddie o rourke manager until seen on echo friday night. I see conor hawes is there as well. seems to follow eddie around. Played with Leeside few years bac when eddie was in charge.

Parkboy how come ye play on that pitch?! I have to say it is brutal. Terrible hill. The other two pitches would surely be a better option? Especially the far off one?

I Personally felt that if Blarney St got any result yesterday it would have been unfair on us. Hat full of chances with us only taking the two. Blarney st hit the bar at the start of the second but that only served to drive us on again. 1-0 up after a superb strike on the volley from Ger Harrington 25 yards out at the start of the second half. Blarney got an equaliser with ten left, their striker got it. Nice player. Challenged for everything. But in fairness we created another 3 chances before the end and took one of them. A little bit of magic down here as well from Scully with a superb one two with our other striker Sean Lyons before he smashed it in low from the edge. Two great goals to cap a great result.

Blarney st looked good. Big squad and well drilled. Cannot believe this was the same team that were hit for 6 by leeside. Good sporting contest yesterday.
