    Ballyvolane 4 Greenmount 0

Comfortable win today. They turned up with 9 men and didnt have the full 11 until half time. Sad to see a Greenmount team like that. Nothing much else to say other than 3 points in the bag. Greenwood up next on Tuesday. Another big game.
I agree ola, still wide open..........

    St Micheals Cup Semi Finals

    Passage 3 0 Rathcoole Rvs

    Dillons Cross 1 0 Bohs

Passage game was a stroll in the park from the first whistle to last,a clean game with all three goals been scored in the first half.It just shows we can play any team on our day but also can be beaton by any team when we concede first.Anyone have any idea when the final will be played and where??

Yeah you were spotted behind greenwoods goal in second half. Had a feeling ballyvolane would have a presence, considering ballyvolane were 2-0 up at half time and that ye are playing greenwood tuesday nite. shows your mentality of soccer with you thinking the sending off was harsh, could of breaking the right back leg only for him to jump in time. i dont think that tackle would go down well in ballyvolane park now shetland???

my dear governor i dont know who you have me mistaken for ,because i was not behind any goal ,as reguards mentally get your facts right.1 i was on the greenwood line for the whole game including the warm up,knew nothing or had nothing to do with ballyvolane game.i expressed my oppinion as i saw it. the tackle was a very poor one not malicious and a yellow card was sufficient..from what i saw yesterday and expressed on this forum was the constant disent and argueing with the referee from leeds players ,they even argue with each other,..as reguards football mentally, governor i can tell you now that i have forgotten more about football then you will ever know. AND THATS A FACT.

well lads if a player has to be carried off the pitch after the tackle and his knee out like a baloon then i wouldnt call it a dive, and to get caught in the knee after trying to jump the tackle wit no ball ther, well if that isnt a sending off then i dont know what is, lucky his leg wasnt planted or ther could have been serious trouble. But sure Shetland if you came down from the tree u were hiding in then maybe u would have seen it properly. And Shet we all know who you are so u dont have to hide when you come to see us play. But maybe its your eye sight cause anytime we play ye and ive heard it from alot of other clubs- u seem to think all throws are a ballyvolane throw, a bit of honesty would go along way shelts cause you were at it the morning we played ye as well. Maybe its just ur 'football mentally' whatever the hell that means.

Did young John Corcoran get sent off at the weekend?? and for what???? heard he got sent then i heard the ref asked him to be taken off, if so for what?? disent?? Pot Kettle Black. Those poor youth players will be burnt out from playin so many games for ye- if they lose that league then we all know why

As leeds pk stated, the player had to be carried off, all im saying is shetland wouldnt be impressesd if the same challenge happen in ballyvolane pk and to one of his players. he wont be calling the sending off harsh then would he????

I enjoyed my time with ballyvolane and would like them to make Premier after all the years, but to say a two footed lunge at a player is harsh for a sending off just shows how opinon differ.
I think his comment is nonesense.

Have you got a twin Brother by any chance????

Players argue all the time, if with themselves, be it the referee , or the opposing line. its part of parcel in any game, not just in leeds pk. ask anyone in this forum they'll tell you the same.

Yeah, i think you forgot what a two footed lunge looks like.

We lost 1-0 to a good dillons cross side yesterday in our semi-final, conceded early from a very soft goal on our behalf and its was chasing the game from a very early stage for us, someting we didnt want to do. Dillons cross played the better for the first 15-20 mins and after that we totally controlled this game.We really should have scored after 25 mins with a free header coming back off the inside of the post.

The second half we totally outplayed dillons but we just couldnt score, we had numerous free kicks and corners but the dillons defense were good at defending the set pieces and cleared ball after ball, thought we deserved to win the game or at least a crack at extra time but that wasnt the case and i like to wish them well in the final,

From another point of view i think dillons cross line was a disgrace and everytime we called a foul or anything on our side we were told shut our mouths that we were f***ing this and we were F***ing that and the second half was played with just the one ball (our ball) dillons cross had there footballs hid behind the water bottles with a towel over them, our keeper had stones thrown at him and to be honest it was a joke..
