    Cawley gone

He's officially signed for Shels now, according to their website (link is in the Shels section). Ciarán Martyn's also signed for them - doesn't say if there's any transfer involved, although given their financial state, probably not. We're entitled to half of any future fee Derry receive from him.

Our team for next season is now looking like:

    Gallagher
    Mahon
    McAuley
    McNally
    Sullivan
    J Martin
    McDonnell
    O'Donnell
    Davey
    R Martin
    AN Other - Leech/Gallen/Purcell/Colfer

    SUBS -
    Ryan
AN Other (another striker from those four above)
    AN Other (sub keeper)
    Gaffney
    Whelan

Suppose it's encouraging that it's been very quiet on the transfer front in terms of players we don't want to leave - Cawley was telegraphed a long time ago, but no solid word about any of the others...

Ciarán Martyn was supposed to be signing a new contract according to Derry so I'd say he was out of contract alright. We're supposed to be entitled to money for Cawley as he's under 23 though.

    Cawley Gone

Alan Cawley may be gone, but on the plus side, Tony McDonnell is definitely staying. Sent him a Merry Xmas text and in his reply told me he would see me for the First Division promotion push in 2004.

Merry Christmas to all Long Suffering College Supporters.
First Division title for 2004 should be the New Year Resolution oh and it's 20 years since we won the Cup so we are due another one

Better not have an injury crisis! Come to think of it, better not have any injuries! I suppose such a thin squad is the price we pay for not sacking Doolin ages ago!

    Hee-hee - twenty-five quid to watch a Paul Doolin-managed team! I feel better already!

    Davey on the right wing?

Apparently Sullivan and McNally are training with us but haven't signed contracts yet.
