The only thing the players were told is that Balla "B" played an illegal player against us, and that the club would be putting in an objection, like I said previously I dont have the facts about how the club received their info, or who gave it to them, so I cant comment.

i hope so but don't think so .. now clubs have been made more aware of objections this season i personally think you will find more clubs objecting next season.. limerick league should be more open to all clubs , any objection should be posted on website showing outcome & reasons for all to see , also all clubs should be issued with officall rules as well.. if balla played illegall player for whatever reason they deserved to be punished but is a 50 euro fine and docked points enough punishement !!!..

hopefully it will encourage teams to actually field fully legal players.it is crazy the ammount of objections this year and they appear to all be from high profile games and clubs who should know better.
I'd say there will be a lot of teams carefully checking the match cards when they lose a game next season.
And shame on balla management for playing and illegal player and if thats not bad enough to tell the opposing team they had done so.

Maybe the best way around this is docking points at the start of the following season rather than a paltry fine

I agree with mulla. If anything this season will make teams be more cautious about how they go about their season. Cheating and playing illegal players has been going on for a long time. If the opposition don't send in a written complaint then there is nothing stopping teams playing illegal players. If you have nothing to hide then there is no problem in the other team checking the card.

They walked into the LDMC on Monday hands in the air "we made a mistake we played an illegal player" disgraceful.

You know have a situation where balla will get a 50? Euro fine? And lose that one point and star win the league. Never mind Shannon town I feel sorry for balla having a mangagement eih the morals like that and no dignity.
If that's true then it's shocking. I have always thought of balla as a club like us pretty honest and just trying to compete(and ya they have done that alot over the last few years) I can't believe that they would have someone in charge who would throw a game on purpose.....or am i being too níave??

dont know the ins and outs but i know the lads in charge and they wouldnt of allowed that to happen, its just a pity that its after costing shannon the league if there was any justice there should be a play off for the league but thats not going to happen as star have done nothing wrong either

The whole player registry procedure, discipline notification & transparency of information etc etc in junior leagues is fundamentally flawed in that it is so easy to cheat or make punishable mistakes by playing non registered players (Park FC or Shannon Hibs)/playing illegal players intentionally or unintentionally (Pike & Balla), im sure we could all be here for days pointing out the flaws. My point is that junior leagues have been operating this way for a long time, this way of operating may have been fine in times gone by but judging on this season with the amount of admin errors by both clubs & leagues that resulted in all types of consequences, its time that Junior leagues seriously look at new ways of operating that will stop all this bulls**t ruining what is something we all do for fun & enjoyment.

There are amateur league operating templates that Irish Junior Leagues could adopt or at least test & i know that procedures would be found that would both suit the Junior Leagues, Clubs & Players & eradicate the errors that have occurred in a number of leagues & competitions this year. We've all seen what has been going on this season, if these types of things continue to happen it will have an adverse affect on football in our country, it'll cause lads to lose interest, possibly move to other sports or give up entirely & obviously the game will go into decline.

I know im being idealistic but I think we can all agree that something needs to be done, question is who is gonna do it

Have to agree with ye there Lads everything has to be out in the open for clubs to see.
I know a player who signed a b form for a club played a few matches for the Premier team then got a transfer signed only to be told that that there was no record of him being with the club in the first place.
In other words he dident need a transfer form.

I hear ya, but you never know, maybe someone in power thinks the same, that alot of aspects of the admin of junior football need to be updated. If i knew who such a person was i could direct them to what in my experience is a pretty much flawless & fully transparent operating template for an amateur football league. The template is there but the motivation of the people in power to make progress seemingly is not,.,,.,

checking the card won't help how do you know that name on card is the same person playing.. that would be my biggest worry , ok around town most players would know one another.. but a country team or shannon team it may be easier to play an illegall player / against them under signed players name .. as for cheating what about teams giving walkovers at end of season which affects relegation / promotion issues is this not as bad and league don't seem to want to do anything about it ..

Surely most players know that if you get sent off; you automatically miss the next game, why did this player not mention this to the manager when the manager was naming his team

Because he wasnt sent off in the game before. He was sent off a few weeks earlier and served his 1 game ban against shannon. He must have been given a further ban (2 or 3 games) which the club seemed to have ignored.

Park played an unregistered player unknowingly.....
they sent the registration away, waited and then played him. like they do with all players......

My point exactly, they sent the registration away, waited then played him, however for some reason the LDMC did not register the player, thus Park played an unregistered player unknowingly. It all comes down to a flawed operating structure that allows for these types of mistakes to occur.
