Herad that because they have more than half their games played that not everone gets the 6 points of them....i dont know how true this is and im quite sure the LDMC will probably make this up as the go along...but ya your right about it being a pain in the *ss for the other teams battiling to stay up.

My Goal Is To Deny Yours...
Any time a team pulls out of a division, if they have already played half their games then all previous results stand and anybody left to play them gets awarded the remaining points they could pick up against them.
Not enough punishment out there to deter this happening if you ask me. Teams should be put down a couple of Divisions for this if you ask me i.e Herbertstown not only relegated from 1A but also they drop down from 1B to 2A.
That or they start the next season minus the points they gave away at the end of the previous season i.e If Herbertstown had 3 matches left they would start out in 1B on -9 Pts.
Too many teams pulling out near the end of seasons or giving walkovers.
that is crazy. The ldmc have to do something about the likes of this. giving walk overs at this stage of the season should not be allowed, too much at stake top and bottom.
The should go right to the bottom division. That bis the only way teams will be taught a lesson

Also if the table stays like that then we are promoted????[/QUOTE]
No, we can get 47 and Caherdavin can get 45, ye have 43, one of us (Star or Caherdavin) will drop points on Thursday but if its a draw then both teams can still pass ye (unless ye win yer last match v Dromore, which if ye do, then ye are promoted or else if we beat Caherdavin that'll also promote ye)
Herbertstown B did the exact same thing earlier this year, they did it last year too.

Not an excuse pal just stating facts, we have two of our best players definitely missing and possibly also our top goalscorer (who is 50/50), but thats what squads are for, so we'll plug away with what we have and see how we get on...........its a must win game for Caherdavin, a draw would do Star providing they win their last game away to Balla "B" which won't be an easy game either, so we'd rather not have to go to LIT looking for a win.
Caherdavin v Star should be a cracker, and may the best team win, and yes the loser will be playing 1A again next season (but only if Shannon beat Dromore).

Missing/injured players should not be used an excuse. Junior teams no matter what level are always missing players. Very rare a team can put out it's best team. Especially mid week games. As you say, that's what squads are for.
Should be a massive crowd at the Greenhills. I'd imagine Star will be hoping for a strong referee. Best of luck to both teams.
By the way, when was the last time Caherdavin played Premier football?
I think that caherdavin came close a few times before...late 80's they came close to premier and got to a lawson cup final...also in the mid 90's they were not that far away either...they used to play out in barry's cross at the time..
sick of narcissists.....
I don't think there are any favourites really. If you go by the league table both should be pretty evenly matched. I know Star only need a point but i'm sure they will be looking for the 3 as much as Caherdavin so both teams have as much to play for. If the Caherdavin vs Shannon match is anything to go by there should be a big crowd sown for this. I'm predicting a last minute winner from Caherdavin to win 2-1.
