Croom 0 - 1 Boro B, Great result for us kept going till the very end when we got our goal in the last minute, croom got a man sent off deservedly and we battered there goal for 45mins but just could not score.

They are missing a few players due to the hurling i think, but being honest there are rubbish, if you have seen there previous results the have been hammered every game but they are tricky out there in croom and we just couldnt score we should of won this 4 or 5 nil but in the end we just got the 1 which was 3 points which is what counts.

The only other Div 1A teams besides yourselves that are not involved in the MJC this weekend are Granville and Boro "B" (Granville must wait winners from Pike "B" or Bruff before they can play in this season's MJC, and I dont think the Boro "B" have entered the MJC) but if ye do have a league game I would guess it will be against Boro "B" as ye have already played Granville.

Shannonman, that will be yer 6th league game to date and 5th at home..........ye will have a run of away games to play during the season (or worse, during the winter) which could be crucial to ye getting promoted or not.

I know AV but last year we went along time without playing in the winter and we almost had a second preseason...mainly down to our own pitch so we'd prefer to play away than not play at all and also I think there is a feeling we are a hit better suited to play away from home...also I think our first game of the season against croom was an away fixture(I could be wrong) but their pitch wasn't ready or something.

If ye played Croom at home then Im sure it would be classed as a home tie, I think if ye had played at a neutral venue then ye could have claimed it as an away game.

I know when we played Croom (away) it was up in Bawnmore, so therefore we have to play them at home yet...............

I could be wrong though, unless Croom agreed to play ye away twice and used the first game in Shannon as there home tie..............bit unusual to agree to something like that....
