1st game of the season tonight agaisnst athlunkard, cant wait to get stuck into em.

Caherconlish 3-1 Athlunkard: Caherconlish were poor in the 1st half but still took the lead was 1-1 by half time..Since i joined Caherconlish last year athlunkard are by far the dirtiest team i've seen and the brutal ref encouraged em epecially the big number 10 up front could have gone for numerous things tonight they finally had a player sent off for two yellows near the end we won 3-1 and could have been by 3 or 4 more by the end. so good start for us roll on knocklong tuesday

caherconlish 3-1 athlunkard, tough game not helped by some ref's decisions on both sides,away team left their foot in on several occasions but we were no saints either,should of finished the game off well before the end

tough game.... athlunkard didnt start well but grew into the game and were well on top in last 20 mins of 1st half.... we couldnt convert our chances and i think we needed to as conditions were with us. in the 2nd half caherconlish started well, we didnt have many chances .. sending off killed the villa early in the 2nd and we had to push forward to try and get something. must say ref bottled that stone wall pen decision with around 5 - 10 mins left at 2 -1. conlish wanted it more in 2nd half, and put alot pressure on us. you will be tough to beat out their.

I'd say it was a one off. We've played against them several times in the last few seasons and they were always a good footballing side, not really dirty at all. Great result for you though, need a good start if you are looking for promotion.

its a long season and stupid comments about refs and other teams players being dirty will come back to haunt ye. nobody wins the league after 1st game

to be honest not sure about the penatly decision, i was the player who made the tackle,i did touch the ball as he turned but i woudnt have been surprised if it was given,think it took the wind out of ye when it wasnt given?

whats stupid about saying the ref had a poor game and there was some tasty tackles thrown in? and nobody said anything about wininng the league after your 1st game? check what you read before you write

I'm not talking bout winning the league at all man just saying what i saw out there Athlunkard will be a tough side for anyone to beat very tough a little dirty but the ref was awful in fareness. And despite this we still won the game what you said might have some merit if we lost the game and i was complaining but i'm not its just what i saw out there.

does anyone know if balla are in 2a ?? a few of the lads are saying herbertstown are down to play us next.

About 5 first teamers missing (on holidays, etc...) one of the B players called up to play in midfield, lost the 2 full backs to injury during the game, don't think it was anything too serious though.
