What i'd give for 3 years stablity? Cant standing waiting for this today. Its like there is an axe waiting to fall on my head

We really do need to just regroup and get stuff sorted out. The club cant keep going fro crisis to crisis.

Every episode damages the clubs goodwill for at least the short term.

Statement from the club

Cork City Football Club wishes to confirm that in the High Court today, the case under the Companies Act was adjourned for four weeks.
Cork City FC has made payments to the Revenue totalling €102,000 and is continuing to work to clarify the exact amount outstanding. The club’s auditors are working to arrange a meeting with the Revenue in order to resolve the issue fully, and it is hoped that this meeting will take place before the end of the week.
The club is pleased that it has been able to make progress towards a resolution of this issue, which will allow the club to focus fully on its upcoming matches. With the club sitting just two points off the top of the League of Ireland Premier Division table, the Rebel Army face Sligo Rovers in an FAI Ford Cup replay tomorrow night and then Dundalk in the Premier Division at Turner’s Cross on Friday night.

Nice to see we've made some repayments, but its another bad news story that'll just keep dragging on won't it? The clubs affairs are handled too much inpublic these days-football fans shouldn't have to worry about debts...:-/

No, the whole point is that football fans need to worry about debts. Real fans support there club, good days and bad days. If a club is running up big debts it will eventually run out of sugar daddys to keep it going, and then either the fans save the club or it goes wallop. Survival may mean having to drop down divisions, but for a supporter thats far superior than going out of business. This happens, plenty of examples in Cork alone going back the decades.

Oh I know biy-I just mean these affairs should be handled in private more. I mean every organisation misses out on some debts at some point-or gets the amount of a debt wrong but for us, it is everytime. Especially at the moment-we must have zero goodwill anymore. My big fear is that in paying the 102K we've robbed from Peter to pay Paul....something that is and always has been endemic in Cork football.
