    Johnny Glynn

    good article.

Glynn wasn't a bad player. He played in the Cup Final replay win against shels didn't he.

Always remember him scoring the last minute winner for Galway v Rovers in the Cup final!!

As long as I live I will never forget his goal against Cwmbran Town that took us through on the away goals.

I don't think i've ever seen the Cross go as mental as that day.

Guinness even made a billboard ad out of the picture of him celebrating.

    AAAhhh Happy Days

    Thumbs up Legend

Will always remember the goal he scored in Bishopstown sliding into the "mud patch". Fairly sure that was against Rovers too.

It was indeed against our old pals Rovers.
A long punt over the top well ahead of Glynn, on a normal pitch it would have easily been the keepers ball but Bishopstown was no ordinary pitch.
The keeper came out of his box to collect the ball but it stuck in a big mud patch, right in front of Glynn, who duly lobbed it in over the keeper.
    Oh how we laughed.

I seen him last Saturday actually in the Sports Bar at UL watching the Wolves Man U game. I was going to tell him that the goal against Cwmbran was the best chester I had ever seen but I was too shy
