I'm a long suffering Spurs fan. I don't think Stephen Carr has been the same player since he returned from injury last year. He also seems muscle bound. Too much time spent in the gym.
Keane is a decent forward but will have to score more goals. Probably needs a big man up front with him.
Doherty was great when he first broke into Spurs team as a centre back. That was pre-Hoddle. He was a great favourite with the crowd then. However under Hoddle he broke his leg and was never really rated by him. Pleat, on the other hand, was instrumental in signing him from Luton and is a big fan. His confidence in him is being repaid. He's going to keep £7million signing Richards out of the team, and Spurs have won their last 4 games since he was recalled, conceeding only 1 goal.
The ones to watch though is Stephen Kelly and Mark Yeates, whose late father, Stephen, played for both Shels and Rovers. Both these kids are going places. Both have been out on loan and recevied rave reviews. Kelly has already made his debut and Yeats is expected to get his any day now.
