Only to the forum so bare with me.
So your looking for advice on pre season training.
Now here i am a veteran of. you dont say whether its for yourself or a complete team!
How competitively you play.
where your fitness is at the moment and what you'd like to work on.
ill give you some of my experiences over the years.
Im 34 was very fit and active up to a few weeks ago. im laid up with a pretty bad injury for a bit.
you can approach pre season in my mind in only 1 way if your fitness is down a bit and that is to start running about 6 - 8 weeks before your team mates that gives you a big advantage when they start.
usually most players will do about a month and a half pre season lenghty running. it builds stamina which you'll benefit from right away.
if youve a bike add this in do the bike 2 days a week and run 2 days a week. every other day is about right it gives you recovery time in between. get fitted properly for decent running shoes if your in tarmac go the cheap route and your joints will suffer.
