Was it on TV? Report I read said Cleary stood out. O'Hanlon was an unused sub afaik.
On the eligibility front the irish/polish keeper Hewett played tonight on sky for Everton 21 s. He went to everton from irish schoolboy club but as far as I'm aware he has never played underage for us. Sam Byrne looked decent I thought

yeah on sky and liverpool tv which is a great channel on fairness shows most of the 21 and 18 s games . Cleary seemed decent hard to know wil he make it as a pro long term. He is benefiting massively from the fact that jones Williams and Stewart all who can play centre half have been loaned out and they sold paez another young centre half a few weeks ago so there is a real lack of centre halfs around the pool 21 s set up. Kent didnt get on for liverpool either and he is supposed to b goin out on loan this week would be great if I hanlon had loan lined up and that was why he didn't get on
Off topic I know, but many on YBIG are talking very positively about Glen McAuley's progress at Liverpool and being a striker, it will be interesting to watch his progress. Back on topic, it seems O'Neill still sees Nathan Redmond as a possibility, but has reiterated that desire is a necessity, so let's see what happens. Jack Grealish is the only player it seems O'Neill is presently targeting, I wonder is someone else talking to Dan Crowley.
So Callum Wilson isn't actually eligible to play for us, according to Neil O'Riordan who asked Bournemouth's public relations officer to check it out with Wilson: https://mobile.twitter.com/noriordan...26848713908225
Maybe he is eligible but just didn't want pages and pages of Irish newspaper nonsense and internet geekology before he declares?
Charlton are 1-0 up at HT to Peterborough in the Capital One cup.
Their goal was scored by NI under 19 striker, Mikhail Kennedy.
Young Mikhail's twitter bio makes for interesting reading: https://twitter.com/MikhailKennedy?r...Ctwgr%5Eauthor
He has tweeted support for Derry City, Celtic and the GAA in the past month. Although, he also stated he was "buzzing" at being called up to the NI under 21 squad.
He also retweeted McClean's pretty short responses to the anthem controversy in which he linked an article (that link has gone dead since).

I wonder is potentially good young striker Karl Ahearne-Grant of Charlton eligible too?..or Matt Grimes of Swansea?

Positive words and it's always nice to see that pride in one of our foreign-born players.Delighted to put on the green jersey last night and represent my country ROI in my first competitive match always a true honour to play and was an added bonus getting on the scoresheet #dreamcometrue #COYBIG
On a side note that's the first time we've worn white shorts in this campaign. I miss green shirts & white shorts.
While he who can't be mentioned is still considering his future it seems Dan Crowley may be sticking with us which would be fantastic! Geez, if Grealish did commit to us plus Crowley, I think it would generate so much excitement among Irish fans with the added emergence of the likes of Cullen, Byrne, Lawlor and Gregor Cox. Positivity and excitement, two words that having missing in Irish football for the last while!

Lots of the social media tabloids claiming that JG has made his decision and it ain't us. Picked up a new agent over the summer who painted the financial implications of going with Ireland as opposed to England. Hopefully it's all just speculation as he has obviously not said anything at all but a couple of places are running with it.
Would love Crowley to commit.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Unsure if mentioned on here, though too late now but this fella played for Danmark the other night,

Looks like he's been ineligible since 2013 according to that.
