Was there talk about him on here before that he might be eligible? As I was drinking my coffee at the weekend, hitting refresh on BBC score updates I saw his name flash up and thought to myself "I think he might be one of ours" but then very quickly said "shut up Stu, you're making sh!t up again".

He was definitely mentioned somewhere because when the show I was watching picked him out as an upwardly mobile transfer candidate I zoned in too.

My apologies if these guys have already been discussed. Two impressive youngsters at Leicester.

Callum Doyle and Kasey McAteer. Both English born, McAteer doesn’t seem to have played internationally at underage level. Doyle as a Man City prospect I assume will try to eventually play for England’s senior team.

Anybody know if either eligible for us?

Doyle's grandfather was English born and play for Man City so even if an Irish connection exists it is not close enough to be derived from the surname.

You're thinking of the midfielder Tommy Doyle who's grandfathers were City players, Mike Doyle and Glyn Pardoe. He's on loan with Wolves at the moment.

This Callum Doyle is a defender, a few years younger and no relation to Tommy as far as I can tell.

Kenny mentioned yesterday that a Championship winger is in the process of changing allegiance to Ireland, but was held up by paperwork. Wonder who it is?

Would like it to be McAteer at Leicester.
    No England underage caps.

It'll probably be Marcus Harness paperwork finally arriving.

Patrick Roberts qualifies. 26 now with a huge England underage past. Lynden Gooch mentioned. Cirkin and Delap mentioned although not wingers.

    Tenner on Roberts says I.

Harness would be very underwhelming considering he was already supposed to be ours.

Does McAteer have any connections other than a famous name?

Roberts was once a fantastic prospect on loan at Celtic, but at 26 hes become pretty ordinary.

Kenny likes to play players out of position so a winger from his words could be Delap or Cirkin

No idea on Kasey McAteer other than he is called Kasey McAteer.

Roberts WiKi seems to have gotten a coat of green paint recently. To make it stink a bit less if its him maybe.

    We'll soon see.

I cant see any way it is Delap. He is a regular with the Three Lions U21 team. He aint giving up that gravy train until he has to.

Does Roberts actually qualify? Had a good loan spell at Celtic between 19-21 but after that it's been a big bag of meh. How he managed to stay on the books at Man City a week shy of his 25 birthday is a mystery.

    Does Jack Clarke qualify?

His Wikipedia suggests he ( Roberts ) does.

I don’t know about Clarke, he would be an unlikely capture but an exciting one. Cirkin worth having too. Or it could be someone not on the radar at all.

Nice one. He's had a great start to the season for them in terms of the stats anyway. I see his wikipedia is already changed

Here's one for Championship afficionados... What's the story on Marcus Harness of Ipswich? Kenny brought him to a game in Dublin a couple of years ago. Is he qualified for us at present? Would he be an addition to what we currently have?
