Oh Come On!!! I was literally planning on coming on to comment that Michael Obafemi's injury might actually make Keane a realistic option as back-up. So I guess we're looking really closely at James Collins now.

Yes. I'm disappointed with that. I thought Bamford would jump at the chance at this stage.

"I’m waiting for him to say, ‘Come and meet me’, and I’ll drive to wherever it is and meet him and his Dad and we’ll get it sorted out."

Doesn't seem Redmond is bothered either :"I am [interested]," he said. "I’ve spoken to his agent, I’ve tried to met up with him and it’s not been successful yet. I think he has already played with England, hasn’t he?

"I think he’s been playing well, he’s been having a good season so maybe he is still harbouring hopes he is going to be picked for them."

It's within Mick's job description to enquire but after an appropriate period of time it's also within Mick's job description to delete those phone numbers, block attempted replies and move on.

That's much more encouraging from Paddy and what I would have expected.

Is it encouraging though? What’s there to discuss if they need to meet. If he’s on board a text or 30 second call would put it to bed.

Well it's more encouraging than ignoring Mick's calls and texts, as was implied earlier.

I've no problem with the meeting, natural enough that they'd want to suss each other out. Bamford will want to know where he fits into Mick's plans, Mick will want to gauge how keen he actually is.

I think its a good lesson going forward with dual nationaliy players, take no sh*t and call them out straight away and you will get a responce

I see rices approval has almost gone through. That's another thing I said was BS that as soon as big country pushed it through it would be trivial and speedy.

Also has article 8.2 been mentioned here about the double switchback?

Looks like Declan Rice has successfully completed his switch through FIFA already. Interesting to see it sorted so quickly. A lesson for us on lads who could be perceived to be dilly-dallying.

I'd like to know the exact timeline here because, on the face of it, the process seems to have been completed quite quickly...and it poses an obvious question re Daniel Crowley.

maybe it's quicker (for rice) because he is english born? he'd obviously have the passport and meet any residency checks. of course this is total speculation, i've no idea what the process actually involves or what checks are made.

Don't worry, Paul O'Shea will explain all.
