Lynden Gooch made his debut for the US on Tuesday night against Mexico. It was a friendly, so technically he is still eligible, but his post on twitter indicates where his allegiances lie: https://twitter.com/lyndengooch46/st...66734572208128
To make my debut for @ussoccer Tuesday night was a dream come true. Thank you to all the fans for the warm reception at RFK #USMNT

No loss. His name kind of makes me queasy.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Is he related to The Gooch ?
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

He's related to A Gooch, not THE Gooch!

I know I've mentioned him before, perhaps a little dismissively as his career so far has seemed to be made up of underwhelming loan spells, but Will Keane played the full 90 for Hull today, albeit in a catastrophic defeat to Bournemouth. He has expressed an interest in playing for us so if he maintains his place and even starts to score a few goals, surely we should be prepared to approach him, particularly if Scott Hogan chooses not to commit to us

Before this, he had failed to score in 37 games.

18 year old Aussie born Aiden Connor O'Neill on at half time for Burnley. Surely he is eligible and probably another one the 'FAI scouts' are sleeping on.

I wouldn't blame him for wanting to play for Australia with all those FAI scouts sleeping on him.

If Noel King is the best the FAI can send to convince him to play then I wouldn't blame him either

Former USA Women's Soccer legend Abby Wambach has caused a bit of a stir over the past few months with comments about foreign born players representing the USA men's side. This artcile cover the background to what she has said recently and previously. Pretty similar to the stuff discussed on here over the past couple of years.

I know...tongue was partially in cheek on that one...unless he scores another 20 goals this season, in which case I will declare myself a prescient football pundit who saw how important he would be to our cause before anybody else...I'll be like an international football hipster

He's getting a lot of people's hopes up is Judger. Either he's had the conversation with Hogan or he's guessing. Fingers crossed it's the former.

Goalkeeper Mateusz Hewelt on the bench for Everton today. Played for Stella Maris & Shelbourne. Is he still with us?

Didn't Shane Long say something like Sean Morrison would play for Ireland when they were at Reading together? Then it turned out he wasn't even eligible.

I would put more stock in Hogan's words and actions than Judge's Monday morning quarterbacking.

And I have faith in Judge's comments as he knows him a lot better than you. Take a pill for your OCD.
