    Game v Fingal

Simple question really can we win the game?

Personally I think if we play like have done last few games we can win this game or at the very least a draw.

Disappointing result for Wexford tonight with late goal for Fingal after Wexford went down to ten men with Patsy being sent off for two yellows with ten minutes to go. First half was fairly uneventful with Fingal having the better of the play and creating a few chances. However, the most bizarre moment came with five minutes to go in the half when the ref. gave us a penalty after Locky took the ball off the fullback and ran at Fingal's centre-half and went over his outstretched leg. Ref. runs over, gives a peno and then changes his mind when persuaded to consult the assistant by the Fingal players. Nothing came from Gav's freekick.

Wexford started better in the second with Sinny claiming another peno, without success, after running into the box and Locky pulling a good save from the Fingal keeper. Patsy got booked for dissent for the Sinny non-peno and then got a second yellow with ten minutes to go for what seemed to be an innocuous nudge off-the-ball on a Fingal player. (Could have been for something else, though).

Fingal then came alive playing against the ten men for the last ten minutes and Packie pulled off a great save when Breener (?) stood on the ball leaving a Fingal player with a free shot. From the corner, however, Ross Gaynor nodded cleanly home when unchallenged at the near post. Nice quick flat corner though and it gave very little time to any Wexford defender to close him down. Peter White then had a half-chance with a few minutes to go but couldn't get a header on target.

Thought we tried to hit Gavin and Sheahan playing together up front too early while Locky and Vickers didn't get a huge amount of change on the two wings. White and Breen played well to combat Zayed in the air but overall not as good a performance as against Waterford.
