    Liam Miller To ManUre

    Great quote from Miller:

" Miller, who turned down a contract worth £1m a year at Celtic, said: "As a young boy I only supported two clubs Glasgow Celtic and Manchester United. "

Only two Liam? Why, does your average sham support 4 or 5?

See posts on the National Team thread for more on this, jofy. I also saw that comment from Miller - can't say I expected anything less from the ****bag myself. It brings to mind an old Chinese proverb - "man sit on fence, man get balls squashed". Be careful, Liam Miller.

You're right, Beavis - a bit too strong, I know, and for that I apologise. I'm still smarting from watching my club's best prospect for years stick two fingers up to us and walk away. I'll get over it soon enough, and in plenty of time to cheer him on in a green shirt. No other colours, mind...

I'm just p*ssed off at the way he's went behind Martin and Celtic's back. One day they are saying they know nothing about an approach from Man Ure, 24 hours later, he's signed a contract.

Martin was diplomatic at the press conference but you can tell he's spitting blood. He thought if he would stay even another 18 months, but obviously Liam doesn't think he owes Celtic anything for re-habilitating him.

Well, perhaps we have lost a future star but to be honest he's only a "potential" star. Alex Ferguson's own words. He's not the finished article and possibly he might never be.
He was offered 20 grand a month, but he wanted more than double that. To earn 50 grand a week, you need to have proved yourself, and Millar hasn't. In fact in his last few games he's been pretty mediocre.

    Good riddance, I say.

And I hope young Pearson does well, a lad who's only ever supported one team

Very true Good luck Pearson. It was very behind the back, which annoys me, plus, i hate Man Ure. If he wants 50k, he must be dreaming! Silly little ****.

I don't see how he went behind anyone's back. Celtic have been aware there was interest in him with a few months. Ferguson has watched him on a number of occasions so it can hardly been called a surprise.

Much has been said about Celtic sticking by him when he was injured, but what about him only being offered a year's extension last season, if O'Neill rated him as highly as he is now claiming, then Miller should have been offered a three or four year deal then.

Celtic dropped the ball here, pure and simple. Good luck to Miller.

Exactly, and interesting to see Pearson being brought up as a good guy - for what? Engineering a move away from Motherwell while still under contract with the help of pressure from Celtic (as opposed to Miller/ Man United who were perfectly to agree a deal)
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.
