Hi Guys, I am considering coming down to westport for the weekend to watch the Celtic vs Westport game,I am disappointed in these difficult economic times not to be around as much as I used to.

However the season, to date (from what I have been hearing) has been a bore, will Celtic be able to field a strong team on saturday? Are any of the Senior A players eligible to play?

A league team at home to dundalk tomorrow night so none of them will be able to play with the super league team.

Thanks for that hoops. Had to work in the end didnt make it down. I heard it was a close enough game. How many Celtic senior A players can play in a junior game at any one time?

closer than anyone expected i think.
you can play as many a players as you like in any one game, however there are two rules.
1. once you play 5 games in the eircom league you cannot play junior football which most of our lads have done.
2. once you play in the fai senior cup which we played in against ringmahon and mayfield, you also cannot play junior football.
these two rules rule out most of our a players, i think its only 2 or 3 of them that can play junior
