BBC are claiming he's been on remand in Madrid ever since he was arrested, he's now been charged and he's looking at a minimum of 8 years if convicted.
That's a long holiday.
Not to be utterly unsympathetic as he hasn't been convicted of anything ...If I'd skipped bail from a country I'd think hard on returning to it for a family funeral, much less a stag, and would probably try and get in and out of the country over land rather than through a domestic airport.
