Good enough for international football but not good enough for Celtic? Bizarre. He is easily good enough - his age is the only thing I'd question relating to that move.

Course he's good enough for Celtic. He was almost good enough for the SPL in his LOI days. I'd only doubt the rumour because Celtic attract Irish transfer speculation like Neil Lennon collects touchline bans.
    Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?

    Scurrilous Derry chit chat.
Lennon hasn't had a touchline ban this season. A Lennon can change his spots.

Do you guys know who Jason Kidd is? The NBA player who is the newly minted disastrous coach of the Nets? I feel like he and Lennon are twins these days.

There's plenty of Millwall fans who've questioned he's good enough even for them...
    He's a competent Championship keeper. That's all.

When Celtic buy English, they tend to buy competent Championship players.

Is Forde's footwork in doubt? Sure, wasn't this fella once custodian of the Celtic goal?

90% of Tims would rather have the 'Holy Goalie' over pretty much anyone, if Forster leaves.

It's a term used to describe Celtic supporters: http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/Tim

The origin is thought to come from a Catholic gang from Calton in the early 1900's, which named itself the "Tim Malloys" supposedly after the leader of the gang.

Others say it was just rhyming slang for "Bhoys" and the name just stuck, as a countepart to the Huns' referring to themselves as "The Billy Boys".

Some Huns will lazily (and in a derogatory way) use the term Tim to apply to any Catholics. However it generally now is used by most fans of other clubs to simply mean a Celtic fan, and has increasingly little (if anything) to do with your religion at all.
I'd always thought it might have been a derivation of "taig" (the Irish name Tadhg is also commonly anglicised as Tim), but perhaps not.
