Billy Clarke has been released, and he's talking to Shane Supple about a new deal.
I posted a similar thread in Jan and thought it worked well for keeping tabs on the movements of irish players during the window. Obviously promotions/relegations to/from the EPL are not yet finalised but for relegation it looks like wba and boro (good from an irish point of view) and one from Newcastle, Hull and Sunderland.
On the promotion side, Wolves and Bham and one from Sheff U, Reading and Burnley.
An interesting aspect of this is concerning the Irish players who are currently first team but may be replaced during the summer, eg Stoke staying up was good for our point of view but are the likes of Whelan and Delap going to command a first team place there next year.
Id imagine Kilbanes days of first team football could be numbered at Hull, particularly if they stay up. Duffers fate will depend alot on what Newcastle do in their next two games. There may also be question marks over the likes of Reid and Murphy at Sunderland, they havent seen much football lately. What about the Irish lads at Wolves, will Keogh/Foley get much football next year? Fahey at Bham probably will. At Reading, you would expect Hunt and Doyle to move if they dont get promoted, presumably Long will stay.
What about our younger players? Anyone reckon Garvan, St ledger, McCarthy will get a move this summer?
And finally, how many Irish players will Keane sign for Ipswich?!?!?

he hasn't been in recent games for Sunderland

He's only started 3 of the last 7 games, but he started the previous 6
Lots of the lower division clubs are releasing players. Barry Conlon (Bradford) and Richie Partridge (Chester) have both been given free's so far - maybe they'll end up in the LOI, cant see many clubs offering them a contract in England. Also in todays Sun - Norwich after Billy Clarke and Ipswich after John O'Flynn. Good move for Clarke I think, maybe not so for O'Flynn..
From Barnet to Ipswich, how would that not be a good move for O'Flynn?
I'm not too sure it would be that good of a move for him. How much playing time is he going to get? He's had a good season but if he doesn't get much of a look in at Ipswich he could be easily forgotten about or dismissed. Keane seems to have a penchant for having a large enough squad so chances could be limited. Quality player though and could have been better than Doyle if he wasn't so injury prone.
Daryl Murphy to Ipswich Town. Anthony Stokes to be released. Roy O'Donavon to shipped out as well. Andy Reid could be on his way if we stay up. Just a rumour.
Richard Dunne, James McCarthy, Kevin Doyle and Stephen Hunt all been linked again to Sunderland.
The retain list will be out in a few weeks so I'll post here if any Irish lads are on it.

Liam Miller linked with Cardiff, Preston, Nottingham Forest and Leicester City
he's been training with Cork City as well to maintain fitness levels
Forest tracking Mark Yeates as well. He's had a fantastic season in League One and I reckon he'd be well suited to the Championship.

Everton seek Roy Keane talks for winger
Everton Football Club have made Jonathan Walters a summer target.
As David Moyes looks to bolster his Toffees squad ahead of the 2009/10 season, he has told his board he is not afraid to make another raid in the Championship.
Moyes has in the past signed the likes of Tim Cahill, Joleon Lescott and Phil Jagielka from the second tier of English football, and he thinks Walters can be equally as successful.
The 25-year-old winger, born on Merseyside, is currently plying his trade at Ipswich Town, but Moyes hopes to persuade manager Roy Keane to sell in the summer.
Hear Anthony Stokes is looking at MLS.
