    Big up Pat Spillane

Did anyone see Pat Spillane's comments at the RTE sports personality awards? He said that the GAA was being held back by a few biggots and it was a disgrace that they would let Michael Jackson play in Croke Park but not Brian O'Driscoll or Damian Duff. Fair play Pat.

Jimmy Barry Murphy said something almost exactly the same last month.
It does make you wonder about their logic. Michael Jackson = ok. Football = not ok.
I wonder which of the two options is more likely to pervert the god-fearing kids of Ireland......
Maybe you should put her on a leash, agent-man.

It's a not only disgrace that this attitude still exists but it's downright scary how bitterly opposed some are to allowing soccer/rugby to be played where American Football has been.

I wouldn't ask de GAA to open all stadia to all "foreign"
sports, however one sporting organisation should make a temporary gesture regarding Croke Park to another for de WC qualifiers.

i think its fairly obvious the gaa fear a mass exodus to soccer from their rank and file and in particular the young gaa players who would probably take a bigger interest in soccer should it be played in croke park.
