Hi does anyone here use SAS software much ?
Someone has put me forward for a job that involves using SAS, I've not seen / used it before and was wondering what it does, how complex it is and if there were any sort of online materials to learn about it.
It seems to be mainly used for statistical analysis, and reporting, any information on how easy it is to use would be great.
Thanks!
ive used it before, the last company I was with created some IP using SAS to create a social network analysing tool type thing, it wasn't for bebo or facebookIt was actually accurate 70% of the time in finding fraud that no other tools could find. Anyway what does SAS do, its a reporting tool to an extent but far more powerful than just that. Its like a database of databases really that can be used to pull together info from different data sources and essentially connect them together. So for example if a company has a few bases throughout the world and they don't share data that could potentially save them or make them money then they could look to using SAS to pull together data from all bases and see what they come up with.
The training you can do in a week that they provide is quite good. Its not really a technology you can go in and bluff about because you would get caught out. Dont really know what else you want to know?!
