Some interesting times ahead. Can't wait to see the final makeup of the team. I'm starting to feel more optimistic about next season.

Vikings move for Irish youth pair

Republic of Ireland under-19 internationals Killian Brennan and Pierre Ennis, both released by cross-channel clubs last year, have been handed the chance to get their previously promising careers back on track after joining Premier Division newcomers Dublin City.

The Vikings won the First Division title last season and have already added five players from Kildare County, including Philip Hughes, Ben Whelehan and Ray Scully, while Dom Tierney has also joined from Drogheda United.

It'll be very interesting to see what the new side's going to look like alright. Getting a bit impatient just hearing all the names, can't wait to actually see them in action, and hopefully doing the buisness.

P.S Ringo hows the scarf going? It's gettin' mighty cold out there!

The Pierre Ennis deal isn't signed, sealed and delivered yet, according to the Kildare Nationalist. He's apparently being tempted with offers of a return to (boo! hiss!) GAA.

It was signed, sealed and delivered on Tuesday, it had been put on the long finger until after John Gill came back off holiday, but its all wrapped up now, there had been a number of approaches over the festive season from a number of other clubs, but its all in order now, he will be wearing the Viking colours this coming season.

Good news. Heard him interviewed on Newstalk 106 a few weeks ago and although he basically admitted that he saw DCFC (and the Eircom League in general) as a shop window to hopefully get back over to a British club, he still sounds like he's really up for the challenge and should do well for us.
