They where hammered at Oriel 3nil, could've been alot worse. I know they where playing with 10 men for nearly 70 odd minutes of the game but it really could have been alot worse, Williams should have been sent off for a blatent foul on Fabio, and Dundalk had a few other chances int hat game only for some poor finishing.

And Dalymountrower, can I pick you up on somethingm, you say if it wasn't for Drogheda, Pats would be relegated, but in your final table prediction you have both United and Bray finishing lower than Pats??
I thought it was clear that any one of those clubs would be 7th 8th 9th. Am possibly unfairly judging Pats on their display in Dalymount where they had a bizarre sending off and a pre-match trauma re Glen Fitz.

It’s a pretty mad league. We've been awful in a couple of games (Derry and Galway), unlucky* in a couple (Bray and Rovers) and for a half we matched Bohs (followed by a poor defensive mistake, a sending off and that was it…)

We've also beaten Sligo away (who beat Derry away) and Cork away (and I'd guess there won't be too many teams who do that) as well as Dundalk and Drogheda at home.

We've talented players, but we've a few stinkers too. A couple of crucial injuries really hurt us.

*As some are aware, I don't like saying unlucky as hitting the post wasn't unlucky, it was just bad finishing (twice v Rovers) but couldn't think of a better term. The bray game would've been hugely different if Quigley's goal wasn't ruled out considerng they scored 1 minute later…)

Ye were fine up until the midweek fixtures came along. The defeat to Bray the Friday WAS unlucky but the game at home to Derry (one which I for some reason attended) put minds back to the Galway game.

That was followed by a second half hammering from Bohs and poor results have come since.

It's more unlucky than anything else that things have gone wrong this year for ye.
