Stansted. Its an awkward aul spot to get to. There's a direct link bus. If I had one problem with Ipswich it was the fact it was in the sticks and everywhere was too far away. Only has one Irish pub though in McGinty's and never came across too many Irish there.

Ipswich Town football club are pleased a unique opportunity to acquire the 2010 home jersey.

Running until 31 May the club are offering a scrappage scheme for old jersey trade ins. In exchange for Sunderland jersey it entitles the holder to £10 discount off new Town jersey. Only valid in the club shop.

9th place with a reasonable record, good support and lots of money (we hear). I could lead them to promotion. Rent a house in Sheffield, fly over on Thursday, team talk on Friday, take a game in at Hillsboro, fly by helicopter to the post match interview in Ipswich "At the end of the day it's all about preparing to fail and failing to prepare", and jet home to Dublin to write on this Forum.
18/1 to win the Championship next year, could well be worth a punt......

Mind tell any of those Irish fans that are the new fanatical Ipswich Irish please direct them that a train is the best way. One of the worst journeys ever I made taking you up to Cambridge/Ely and changing for Ipswich/Colchester. Do it once and you'll never go back.

Bless em. Watching a group of typical Ireland soccer supporters walking towards Croker always reminds me of the fishing boat scene in One Flew Over the Cookoo Nest.
YES!! But in fairness, the interest is media driven, bunch of Muppets will now have Ipswich results at the fore. Ryan flights Ipswich to Mayfield, the birth place of the English Premiership great.

This "story" is of any interest to anyone other than those titiilated by the constant and ridiculous Roy Keane tabloid "porn", but where/when/why does the OP see the Wolves v Ipswich fixture taking place ?

And, as I said; why this English Division 2 "breaking news" in the "Ireland" forum is beyond me.

When's Roy's Irish testimonial by the way?

    Good luck Roy.
I think I should the parachute, because I'm great.

In fact, I think I should get both parachutes, in case one doesn't work.

Because LOI fans are representative of society and there are people within all sectors of life that talk ****e on a regular basis. LOI fans do it, fans of British clubs do it, people who hate football do it.

On footballing matters on this forum, there's no doubt that LOI fans speak a lower percentage of ****e than non LOI fans

I wouldn't have thought so up to now but the Keane haters seem to be much more passionate in their hate than the pro Keane clan in their love. Maybe this is because the pro Keane clan have finally got sick of defending him. Maybe the Sundeland fiasco was a bridge too far or maybe it was his comments in the recent interview. These debates used be nip and tuck but the Keane haters are definitely the dominant force here. I hope he does well by the way, always liked Ipswich anyway.

By the way in relation to the OP, he acknowledged his mistake a few comments later and we knows the Wolves-Ipswich fixture isn't on the cards just yet, for those that keep bringing it up.

I believe Ryanair flies within a couple of 1000 ft of Ipswich..............................but it's a long way down.

Despite all the BS that will now surround Ipswich, I wish Keane the best of luck.

I really hope they get promoted next season, especially since they have Garvan and Quinn with them. I always liked Ipswich under George Burley - didn't they come 4th or 5th in the Premiership one year but got relegated the next?
