His trouble is that it's all about satisfying his ego. No-one else.

One reason that Keane might make an international manager is that he would not have any dealings in the transfer market. He and his advisors certainly did not cover themselves in glory in this department during his club career.

One reason that he may not be a good international manager is.

Would the players turn up for international duty. Trap and Don Givens can be quite good at falling out with people.

Roy Keane has it down to a fine art ! I could see Ireland having an international match and no players.

Roy and his dog would have to take the field ! Mind, they might do a better job than the players !

Roy Keane doesn't fall out with people. He falls out with nations.

Roy Keane brisked within a metre of me today in Spinningfields, Manchester. Didn't even ask me for an autograph!

To be fair to him, he looked like he was in a rush for an important lunch in Zizzi, flanked on either side by two men in suits. Perhaps the BBC are trying to snatch him from ITV; they're based in Salford just across the canal now.

The destruction of Crooks' face is long overdue.

Well, we could be seeing more riots, appeals for calm, arms shipments from dodgy dictatorships, drone bombing and US-Coalition of Righteous defence of democracy if what I heard overnight is true. Roy Keane is getting a job - in Turkey. Last night it came across a webforum on Russian football (I was watching the Ryder Cup, honest) and a bunch of Russian Kavkazians were wondering what would happen. While this might mark the beginning of the final phase of the Great Caliphate, or Armageddon as VVP has it, Roy going to a Turkish Premier team might be useful for him. Watch the mayhem ensue!

It’s only speculation so far so we’re inclined to tread cautiously, but the Internet and Twitter are abuzz this morning with reports that Keano is set to take charge of Turkish side Kasımpaşa, who currently lie in third place in the Turkish league.
Apparently, Turkish media are reporting that Keane has agreed to take charge of the Istanbul-based club and will be announced as their new manager tomorrow. If the rumours are true, it will be Keane’s first job in management since being sacked by Ipswich in January 2011, but he has been keen to stress his desire to return to the dugout ever since being let go by the Tractor Boys.
We always figured Keane would return to management eventually – he seemed far too uncomfortable as a pundit to make a career out of it – but few would have predicted that he would go so far afield to get his managerial career back on track.
As we said, so far it’s only speculation and we wouldn’t advise reading too much into it until it’s confirmed, but if it is true it will mark yet another unexpected development in a career that’s been full of surprises to date.
Keano seems ready for Turkey, but is Turkey ready for him?
    Watch this space.
This could turn out really interestingly, if it happens.
Given the way Keano has gone about his business in the past, who'll be the first Irish player in Turkey since Billy Mehmet? David Connolly is still a free agent and can be signed outside of the transfer window!
This lot have some big names I instantly recognised. Kala Uche carved out a good career in La Liga. Andreas Isaksson played for Man City in the Premiership and Fabian Ernst played quite a bit for Germany.

If this does happen, the Irish media's response will be to follow Turkish football like never before. I remember the days every kick of a ball or uttering to come out of Ipswich was highlighted in the back pages.

Liam Miller is meeting up with Billy Mehmet in Perth asking about the lifestyle in Turkey, as we speak.

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

I can't imagine it'll be cheap to buy out Grand Ledbitter's contract either, but presumably the Turkish owners know quality when they see it.

Craig Gordon is available on a free transfer. That's £9million less than Keane paid for him before. Bargain.

Hardly Keane's fault that Gordon broke his arm repeatedly.

This is what the man needs, all joking aside, get away, break out of the whole comfort zone thing. He has to be completely independent and maybe bring in his own assistant. the only danger is that he'll find that his team will be picked for him, that he won't be able to stamp his feet and have players signed and most important of all, he'll have to do his own coaching 100%. This will make or break him.

Thought his love of Cypriotic vacations would prevent him from getting into bed with Turkey.

I'm not Keane's biggest fan but I can't help but feel a little bit apprehensive about this. With regards to anything to do with Irish football or footballers or managers, I want them to do well. Any successful manager at club level is potentially a future successful International manager and we don't have a huge pool of people to choose from. Personally I would prefer to see him take on a more familiar club where his chances of success are greater.
