Finn was already mentioned. Killer's doing well, but he had some pedigree. Dave McMillan's come in this year and done really well (three goals so far) alongside Killer. Couple of others too; Mulhall, Creevy, Harding.

I don't know if this counts but Carey, the lad we've got on loan from Celtic looks a decent young player.

No. Finn and Gareth Matthews only players who could develop into some of the best in their position in the LOI (Finn's already there imo).

I'd also throw in Derek Foran. I think he's shown a lot so far and he's still got plenty of time to grow. He's only 19.

Onwubiko was at Bray for the last two years. He got a lot of stick for not playing well enough, which was a bit harsh as he was, and still is, pretty young. He showed he has a bit of ability when he was here and I think with him getting a decent run in the side (as he is getting at Athlone) then he'll be able to develop a lot more.

Jay O'Shea has really shone at Galway. He wasn't nearly as impressive when he was with us. He showed a few flashes but he wasn't consistent at all. He's stepped up a lot since going to Galway (when I've seen him).
saw emeka onwubiko play against us for athlone he destroyed us in the league cup and is too good for the 1 st division
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Is that the lad that was at Bray for the last couple of seasons?

First time I've see those goals. His first was class but Gough was at fault for his second I reckon particularly after being chipped once already. On a related note, our defence was all over the place by the looks of things.

Longford looked very unfit and we just had pace all over the field and it caused all sorts of problems especially on the wide pitch here

Yeah reports on the display weren't encouraging. Thank heavens for Kildare.

I reckon Mulvenna for Dundalk could be one. On Kildare Countys behalf Orrin Farrell is an exceptional talent but currently not getting much luck, reckon he should move to a Premier club asap.

As Jebus mentioned, Jason Hughes is a fantastic promise. Hasn't played much for us this season because of International duties. Already has had trials with Hull and Birminghan and also Ian Storan is a fantastic prospect. Had trials with West Brom a while back. He hasn't really broke into Limerick's first team yet though.

They might be at the upper limit of the "young player" age bracket but I think Gary Deegan and Paddy Kavanagh are the two best young players in the league at the moment.

Honourable mention for Iarflaith Davoren as well, he's been great for us despite being played out of position.
    innit though??

I'm a Finn fan alright, thought he failed to progress last year though. Maybe the combination of Martin Russell's more expansive footballing ethos combined with the lower level of opposition offers him the chance to build up his confidence and hopefully step up a level?

    Billy Dennehy.

Another goal last night and MOTM performance. Ran the Galway defense ragged. His control was outstanding and his pace is unreal. The lad is gonna be a star.

Best part is that he loves every second of it. The smile on his face when he scored and at the end, it was like all his birthday's came at once.
