The Football Association of Ireland’s Club Licensing Committee has awarded UEFA licences to 4 League of Ireland clubs for the 2009/2010 UEFA Club Competition season.
Bohemian FC will be entered in the Champions League with St Patrick’s Athletic, Derry City and Sligo Rovers participating in the Europa League.
All licences are awarded subject to the grounds meeting the criteria for a UEFA Category 2 stadium. As the Showgrounds in Sligo has not been used in UEFA competition since the new UEFA regulation came into force two years ago, a delegate from UEFA will visit Sligo in early May to determine its compliance
