    Exclamation ...........................................

Not having a suit will really lower the tone of the whole evening.

How about all the "Smart Casual" people get their own table, and we can jeer at them and throw food at them. Should be good for a laugh in between courses
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Wearing suits is always good, cause at the end of the night you can wrap your tie around your head and have a good ol' game of Rambo
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

Yes but it is a totally different situation this year.
Last year it was merely the End of season bash, this year it's the Rebel Army New Years ball.
Last everyone just sat around getting drunk, this year everyone is going to eat dinner and get drunk!!
There were no specifications as to what to wear last year, this year it is being advertised as "smart dress".
Also worth bearing in mind that last years event was on the night of the U21 cup final and a lot of people came straight from the game. Hence the presence of a few City shirts etc.
If people get nicely dressed up it will add to tomorrow nights occasion imo.
    Champions!
