    DVD Player & Regions

i have a rake of region 2 DVD's that i brought over from Ireland with me to Canada. I bought a new DVD player in a shop here and specifically asked which one is multi region so i was sold one of the cheaper models. Hey presto, i go to watch A Room for Romeo Brass yesterday and it wont play it or any of the other Region 2 dvd's.

So i have a couple of questions for the technogeeks here.

    1) is there some sort of code i have to enter onto my player and would anyone have any idea how i would do it and where i would find it?

    2) if i wanted to play it on my laptop and hook my alptop up to my tv, what cables do i need and how do i do it?

    Cheers

    Here you go: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/lg-dv380h-n/9555
make sure you burn it on a blank CD, not a blank DVD, and it should be fine
