In fairness now liamon, that 68 grand would show up in GOALs accounts as 'Guest speakers fees' and at half the money raised would be by FAR the biggest line expense. PA system charges would only come to a fraction of that amount.

Does it matter how much an expense is for? If they had to hire out the venue and that was the most expensive part, should the owner give that for free?

It's an expense and I presume GOAL knew this before they agreed to pay it. They obviously thought that it was an investment that would reap rich returns. I hope they were right.
