    Good podcasts to download

I download James Richardson's one off the Guardian website and am just listening to Noel Gallagher and Russell Brand's new talksport one this morning, both are very good, Richardson's one in particular and I'd recommend both.

Anyone else care to share some good ones?

Mark Kermode's film reviews with Simon Mayo is great entertainment , I didn't really like him before it but I've really warmed to him now , Usually comes out for download on a Friday evening

I'm a huge fan of podcasts. I live in New York. I can listen to my favorite radio shows whenever I want. I rarely listen to music on my MP3 player anymore - for me at least, listening to podcasts and audiobooks are a lot more relaxing.

    BBC:
    Friday night comedy
    Great Lives
    Interview
    Jon Richardson
    Jonathan Ross
    Steve Wright in the afternoon
    Chris Evans Drivetime

    RTE:
    Converations with Eamon Dunphy
    Playback
    Nob Nation

    Newstalk:
    Highlights from Talking History
    The Thursday Interview

Adam Carolla is a US comedian/former DJ who know only does his stuff on podcast. Updates every day (on Mon-Fri anyway) with a different guest each day. Sometimes starts ranting about right wing ****e but mostly just talks about movies and sports and is pretty funny

    http://carollaradio.com/ (also available via itunes)

I also download the BS report from ESPN (or itunes). bill Simmons giving his take on sports on other thigns. definitely doesn't tow the party line and the only US sports broadcastor that isn't afraid to criticise someone. You'll need to be into US sports.

ESPN have pretty much all their "talk" shows on itunes too

Agreed ... absolutely top notch! Also loads of old 8 out of 10 cats episodes available as podcasts, well worth a listen ...

    Currently in my list:
    Football Weekly with James Richardson
Friday Night Comedy from the BBC
Adam and Joe (excellent podcast - consistently brilliant and hilarious)
Collings and Herrin (unbelievably close to the bone comedy at times - took a while to get into it, but it's an essential)
Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show (for the Gift Grub stuff)
I also get the Ray Foley one but only when my mate does the movie reviews.

Oh and for general radio comedy, check out the torrents on UKNova.com and TheBox.bz.

Some great full series - really recommend The Unbelievable Truth, any Armando Iannucci stuff (Charm Offensive is great), if you can find it On The Hour (Chris Morris, forerunner to Brasseye and the Day Today), Blue Jam (Morris again) and People Like Us (by Chris Langham, before, you know, he was a paedo and that).

One that hasn't been mentioned yet that I quite enjoy is the non-league football show from the BBC.

    Bump!

Looking for some ideas, anything new anyone?

While I like James Richardson's Guardian one, I never seem to listen to it on the day it's out, it might be a few days later, by which time it's out of date. Kermode's is essential listening for me though.
