No, Fatima Place is another street, probably a cul-de-sac, aren't they often designated 'place'?
They were two adjoining streets in Kilkenny that the nascent club originally drew from, from what I remember.
Do I also remember right that Jim Rhatigan was one of the instigators of the side from its roots as a street team right up to the (temporary I hope) end of it's league history?

Wasn't it East Midlands Football Association?
A leading authority on League of Ireland football since 2003. You're probably wrong.

Just googled EMFA there to see if I could find out if it was Emmet Street Fatima Place or East Midlands Football Association and found this as well.
The poem at the end has the line 'From Emmet St & Fatima Place
The players mostly came' but apart from that no mention of what Emfa stood for.

Yep. He has a book on stories from the team's history. Came about from watching the 1966 World Cup Final. It has Emmet Lane Fatima Place as the meaning, not East Midlands Football Association.

steno, I rather think Sheridan is joshing somewhat.
Kilkenny would have to be in the East Midlands for it to be true for one thing. Also, what other team do you know has the words 'Football Association' in its name?

EMFA does stand for Emmet Street / Fatima Place, nailed on, 100%. FACT, in fact.

Every Man A Football Artist is a great call, placid casual, that was the Kilkenny City fanzine wasn't it?

Is Tennypark the townland of Buckley Park or are they in different places?

Emmet Street and Fatima Place is correct. 100%

East Midlands Football Association is completely incorrect.

And Tenny Park, a.k.a "Derdimus Park" is located right beside Buckley Park.

No. They were in the U-20 league last season all right.
The ball is round and has many surprises.
