is he with ROI?
Hi guys, I've been hearing good things about the young Irish centre-half at Everton, Shane Duffy. Looks to be a bright star to keep an eye out for in the future. Have any of you here heard of him?
Here's a Derry Journal report on Duffy and another young Derryman, Patrick McEleney.

Here's a picture of the man in action:

Good post - if he wants to emulate Gibson then the omens are good for us.
this might be of use - conflicting posts regarding who he wants to play with tho'

somebody track down his bebo account - and FAST.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Most Derry guys would support the Republic as their national team. I'd say that there's a big chance he'd like to play for the Republic and his father's from Donegal as well according to the Letterkenny Post.

Was aware of that but he trained with us around a year ago so theres still a chance that he could declare for us....but i'd say at this stage it's unlikely as he seems to be getting treated well by NI and wants to repay them for this ( i suppose in a similar way to James Mc Carthy and us) ...and thats fair enough and he has to be commended for that...either way the best of luck him in his career

I think that players that have the opportunity to choose should go with the heart but I will say that we will have the fabulous new Landsdowne RD for players to exhibit their fabulous talents and that all that can qualify to play for us are welcome.
Quoate from the article so you never know. Good luck to him with whatever decision he's happy with.
"Darron Gibson has been a big influence on me because we've seen how far he's come and we all know what he's capable of doing so, hopefully, my career will have the same sort of success that he's been enjoying lately," said Duffy.
Hopefully Duffy will choose Ireland, or imsure he'd live to regret it. Anyone know if he has spoke to the FAI?
