MOTM performance in Norwich's 1-0 win away to Luton Town the other night. There was a nice moment after the game, with Duffy hugging and chatting with a dejected Mark McGuinness. Not sure if they've been in squads together before, but good to see some togetherness among the Irish lads.

He hasn't too many years left. He has to make the best deal for himself long term. Unless you go into, football management / media, what does a soccer player do after playing to keep himself on an even keel ~ Especially if he a wee bit prone to the wrong sort of temptations.
would there be a tariff on that move now?
Reminds me of a story from Simon Kuper's Barca. Under Franco, rivals to Real Madrid were given certain disadvantages by the government to keep things on an uneven keel. For example, there's a story of a half-time visit to a dressing room by a high-ranking official making sinister implications. Anyway, Barca agree a fee for Johan Cruijff, which as we know in hindsight was a very successful transfer. Thing is, they couldn't easily pay for him. In the end, the loophole they found involved Ajax billing Barca for "agricultural machinery".
You can't spell failure without FAI
Seems to be surplus to requirements under new new Norwich City manager Liam Manning.
"I think there's the possibility of that (Duffy & Slimane leaving). I'm sure with the guys you mentioned, everybody wants to play football. If that's not happening here or not likely here, then I'm sure people will want to pursue alternative options... We've had discussions with them. Shane, I can't speak highly enough of his attitude, how he's worked in training and the voice he's had."

Wonder if Asia or the MLS might be tempting for him at his age?
A real home bird, I wouldnt be surprised to see Derry throw four or five grand a week at him.

Still a year or two too soon for that I'd have thought.
