    Limerick player values?

As mentioned in a previous thread, under Eircom League and UEFA law, Limerick will be entitled to a fee for any of its players who are under 23 and leaving the club, under contract or not. This leaves us in a pretty position if the worst comes to the worst and Stevo, Finny, Sweeney and a few others go. (Paddy is 24).
What kind of figures could we expect for Finny and Stevo, and Steven O'Mahoney as they would be our 3 main saleable assets???
    I think:
    Stevo- €30,000
    Finny- €15-20,000
    Steven O'Mahony-€20,000.

I base this on the premis that Shels value Jason Byrne at €70,000, Cork won't put a price on Georgie or JOF. Shels value Owen Heary at €35,000....any opinions???

I see your point regarding the price tags on jason byrne etc but i don't think we've a hope in hell of getting 30K for stevo if we get half that i'll be shocked. it's just there not really big names only first division players, it's just the general mindset in the LOI i feel and with so little money in the game at the moment clubs won't be splashing out. For example Bobby Ryan was our most prized asset in the last 10 years and what did we finally get off galway for him less than 10K i think i heard at the time. i dunno the exact details regarding this transfer but i certainly know once he proved himself in the premier with Galway then unlike Limerick Galway were in a far better position to negotiate a good price with Bohs for him. Basically i can't see us getting big money for players who have only competed in the first divsion

If you look at some of the mad wages some of the Premier Division guys are on then some clubs might feel they'd save money by signing a couple of your lads if they were prepared to play for say €400 a week. Esp the strikers.
EL grounds are like good episodes of The Simpsons, no matter how many times you see them they're still funny
