Mullan regretting injury nightmare
Stephen Mullan, who decided to quit his home-town club Athlone Town and join First Division rivals Sligo Rovers at the start of last season, has revealed his disappointment after an injury-ravaged season, during which he spent six months on the sidelines.
“It hasn’t been easy. I signed for Sligo because I was relocating there. It made sense and I was really looking forward to the challenge,” he said.
However, the move didn’t turn out as hoped and he hasn’t kicked a ball in competition since he returned to St. Mel’s Park back in May with his new club.
