Should fans directly pay eL player wages?

Should eL fans cough up for clubs when they get into crisis?

May I suggest they're two different points? If you're asking should they pay the wages then I say most definately not. If it's a case of ground developments then I don't think it's that big a problem as the club as a whole will benefit from a better ground.

Day to day spending should be covered by the clubs turnover, for capital projects I don't necessarily see it as that bad a thing for clubs to borrow.

In your case I think the fans would be fools to bail the club out - you're still signing players FFS, as you hold crisis meetings about how you're going to pay the wages!
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.

Only if their very rich. For example if I'd a few million lying around, after I built tallaght I might like to buy a league title (€1.5m should do it).

Shels fans shouldn't bail their club out of the current position. They should be looking to cut the wages and sell off some of the players.Heary, Stewie Byrne and Jason Byrne should be worth €300k, that would more than see them through the winter as they need that sum at the moment and they also would have cut out 3 high earners.

EL grounds are like good episodes of The Simpsons, no matter how many times you see them they're still funny

All very well but who is going to buy them, all the other top clubs ( bar Cork ) are in difficulty, and we couldn't let Cork have them otherwise they'd win the league ( and we'd never hear the end of that! ).

Like I said on the ELMB if Rovers can get €170000 for Richie Byrne and Noel Hunt combined some of your players (3 or 4 from Doherty, J Byrne, S Byrne, Crawford, Rowe, Houlahan, Heary) should be of equal value.

    As said above...

Due to the wording of the Thread and then the change for the Poll:

I see no wrong in Fan's providing money for the Club, we ALL do it anyway in one shape or form but if it comes to the stage where the club is in such a state that the money is going to Players wages then the Club needs a serious looking at. I think the Club should it's long term health ahead of some hair-brained Fans paying wages scheme.

Now can I have me vote back?
