IIRC you've given out plenty of times for people after timing on here but lately you're the only one doing it. Give it over, it's rather gay! Posting up a bet and then one of them lose so you decide that you didn't even place the bet

The rule is if you don't post up the bet before hand and then post up about your winnings when it's too late.

Fine, won't bother posting up again so.

Didn't think it affected people on here so much tbh.

It's just a little hypocritical on your part really. And your post above about not placing the bet in the end really portrays you as a mug.

Not hypocritical, as I said, it's not a rule.

    Betting forum rules discussion

Thread was locked in betting forum so discussion can't be carried on there. It's a fairly important rule of betting forums that is being blatantly ignored by the moderator of the forum.

    It is a rule- aftertiming.

It is a rule sligoman, by my reading, and you shouldn't have closed the thread. It should either have been left open as-is or the off-topic stuff split off to Support. That's what I'm doing now.

There's obviously an inconsistency in perceptions of the rules posted by Dodge, I'd suggest a discussion here about the rules to improve/clarify them.

    Thanks,
    adam

in my opinion an aftertimer should be okay if backed up with an image of the slip or a screen dump. Ive taken to copying and pasting my confirmation email as the other options are a bit time consuming.

    Would that be acceptable here?

I'd say that would be fair enough, as long as people don't do that exclusively.

absolutely. Everybody should have the chance to benefit from someones tips. Constant aftertiming is pretty annoying and could be considered gloating.

    I think thats ok
The thing is we all are honest enough about this game of betting, and a few afterthoughts are fine, but Sligoman does seem to do it a little too often (or is that a misplaced perception?)

I remember i asked for this rule to be changed before and got a hostile reaction from ......Sligoman .

As i stated then the betting forum is so small the odd afterbet within a post is fine if it becomes a problem or people are just posting aftertime bets then change it back.

For example if you post 4 bets and they loose then you come back and you post something like : Lost 200 euro on those 4 but i did have Cahill to score first as well so that got me 50 back.

I cant see a major problem with that. And its a big difference than just posting i won 500 euro 2 years ago.

But its easier just not ot post it at all. Why would you bother telling peopl about bets that are done already?

I think a certain common sense needs to come into it - not everyone is going to be on foot.ie all the time posting their bets up.

Often there will be moves on certain games (say Harps last night 1/2 out to 4/5 with PP) and I think it's fair to come back and say that "I saw a big drift on Harps and thought that 4/5 was too big so backed them just before kick-off"
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

Well it might add to the thinking behind the bet for example. I had lescott to score first for the last 4 weeks and its come off 3 times so im going for it again.

I cant see why this is a problem it happens so rarely
